Great Campground With Fond Memories
We spent 3 nights in the Gilmore Loop in June 2024. Great layout but very pricey for nonresidents. We hiked, biked and kayaked. I had attended the Boy Scout National Jamboree here in 1969 and there were plaques and other monuments commemorating the event. This was also a location for navy basic training in WWII and there were displays and a museum. Unfortunately it was closed for renovations.

Nice park but for out of state we we’re charged $85 for one night and we’re strictly not allowed to go to the campsite (that was next to our kids and knew it was empty) until 2:00 pm. Ridiculous!!

Wonderful Campground
As the title says, this a wonderful park. We used to come every year. They have instituted a new fee structure that is outrageous. For out of state visitors they gouge you for double the price. Our planned stay was going to be over $1200. Just for camp fees. I don't mind paying a fair price, but that is outrageously excessive. This Montana family will go elsewhere, and stay completely out of Idaho.

5 Stars Minus 2 For Out Of State FEE
Currently staying in Gilmore Loop. Fantastic sites, shaded, quiet, clean, everything you'd want. Figured I'd book another couple of nights in September when I found out they now double the price for non residents. Shameful, especially since they also doubled the annual idaho park pass. My two day stop will now be in Montana with no stops in Idaho for gas, food, etc. Very short sighted move!!!

Great but Expensive For Out State
Great campground. Big spaces and lots of room between neighbors. $78/ night for full hookups if your out of state resident. I’d do it again since the park is so nice and it helps maintain the park. Hit up the store at hwy 95 before heading in. (4 miles away) They have groceries, hardware and liquor. We had problems with the 30 amp pedestal, so I had to run back down to get a 50 amp adapter.

Clean park, great scenery, beautiful lake and awesome swim beach.
Only downside is from Gilmore Loop it is a LONG downhill walk to the swim area.

Nice Space, Wilderness And Camping
This is a very nice campground. Well run, with wide open campsites. It is huge so beware when letting kids run around, they may get lost. The hookups, check in and services were great. No complaints. We had a great little bike ride and hike around the park, and I think we could have gone longer! There is a lot to explore here, so stay longer than one night!
Unfortunately we were ready to travel on and didn’t stay long. Hope to next time.
