Older Campground But Good For A Stopover

We stayed one night on just a stopover. An older campground but was sufficient for us! Friendly people. Can't say anything about the bathrooms or pool as we did not use them. Very reasonable rate!

New ownership.. Staff very helpful and friendly. 4g 2 bars to create a wifi hotspot.

Overnight Stay

Park is VERY clean. Large pull thru gravel sites. Internet is check your email only but for overnight that's ok. Local tv only. Owner very nice. Would stop by again.

This campground is basic bare bones, but it’s clean and safe, they don’t have very much in amenities, no cable or internet service, but it’s a great place to overnight and you can’t beat the price, it’s just off 75 but far enough away from the freeway so the noise is minimum,

Called ahead and rolled in late. They left my site assignment on the door and opened early so I could pay before leaving. Right off the highway.

Over Night Stay...

Heading to Lookout Mountain and needed a place to rest for the night, Found Southern Gate RV Park and Campground on my app ( Park Advisor ). It was 7:30 pm and the young man that answered the phone was very nice and let us know they had space, we were on our way. Very nice,quiet park at exit 92... Will keep this one in our favorites. Had a great night sleep and we're off to Lookout Mountain for a week... :-)

Irma Road Trip

I needed a place to rest after a long drive home after the hurricane. I was traveling alone with my two small children. I was greeted by the owner who was kind enough to help me set up. Im so thankful to have found this sweet place.

From Rags To Riches! Nice Park!!!

New owner, Karlis is working very hard to try and get this place into shape. Things are looking good, but a new campground definitely a work in progress. Very nice young man w/ a ton of energy. Couple permanents, a couple tents, but everyone very nice, hardly saw them. Mostly saw him and his work crews hitting it hard to get things looking good. Not a large campground, but clean, site was good, shaded a bit, convienent hookups, decent pool where we spent most of our time. Like anywhere, there are bugs indigenous to area, but you have them everywhere, it's camping. He is trying to keep control of that as well. Pet friendly, bath house, propane, stores one exit either way, as well as a local convienence store/gas at end of road. New pavilion, great for small camping groups, family reunions, etc. Camp Club Discount Friendly! This young man is gonna make a great campground when he gets done putting in the continued Blood, Sweat & Tears! Keep working hard like you have been Karlis!

Very Nice!

We stayed for 1 night and the owners were so trustworthy and nice! Very easy and updated hookups including cable! Will definitely stay here again! Put it on your list of places to stay too!

Stayed over night. Nice wooded park. Good drive through sites. Clean bathrooms and reasonable price on laundry. Some freeway noise but not bad. Easy on and off the freeway. New owners, friendly and very helpful. We were able to get our propane filled there. They picked the tank up and returned it.
