Very nice campground! Just across the street from a very nice beach. It is not a resort but a nice place to stay while visiting St Augustine and the beach

NATURAL BEAUTY OUTWEIGHS DEFICIENCIES
True what others have wrote that bath, showers and laundry is due for an upgrade.
Although we found the natural beauty outweighs the shortcomings.
Regarding all sand roads within, that others wrote about; we found them in good condition (they may have grated the resort roads).
If you are a Class B/C; reserve back-
in site 102. Truly one of the best sites here. Partially shaded and private. One of the 1st sites that is close to pool, office, facilities and wifi. We loved it.
Also, it appears they may be having septic issues in some areas of the grounds. When walking about, we got that sewage smell (but I'm sure they are aware and will be addressing it). You should be ok picking out a spot on the north side that is higher ground (such as site 102 that I picked).
Also what others have mentioned; their are 2 restaurants within walking distance.
5 stars for the natural setting; 3 stars for infrastructure.

Bad Weather
Note to self: always go further south in January and February. Nice campground. Doesn't really have the beachy feel. Obviously priced beachy

Crude Sites, Great Location
The sites have decent privacy. And location between the ocean and inter coastal is great. But sand roads and sand sites are horrible. And the bathrooms need serious work.
All in all, hard to justify $100 a night.

Could Be A Gem!
Great location, Beach access is directly across A1A so you can walk and enjoy morning sunrises, there are also 2 great restaurants within walking distance, one located directly on the beach with stunning views, the other is on the intracoastal with a cool vibe and plenty of scenery.
The bad....quite a few residents live in the park full time in one section (where we camped) there was a bit of construction going on at the site one of the residents lived at, there was noise during the afternoon but they were respectful and waited until after 10am before they used power tools, sites are crushed shells and fairly uneven, the biggest problem we had were ANTS, they invaded our RV, it’s Florida but the sites could certainly be sprayed.
If some capital was invested in this park it would be epic.

Best. Campground. Period. We stay here all the time. Quick get away for us, and we never had a bad experience. Staff is great and always helpful. Prices went up, but I will still camp here just because of what it is, and it's always a great time!

Great Location, Bathrooms Need Updating
This campground’s location is amazing. It’s right on the Intercoastal with direct river access and access to the beach just across A1A, which means both great sunrises and sunsets. There are two restaurants adjacent to the property. It is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Saint Augustine and the historic district and has a Publix grocery store just down the road. There are back in and pull thru sites and some cabins as well. The staff was friendly. The major downside to this place is the bathrooms. They need MAJOR remodeling. The shower curtains were old and moldy. The showers had peeling paint and inconsistent water pressure. The sinks and toilets were clean and they kept adequate soap in the dispenser. They had WiFi but not enough internet bandwidth.

Bummer: 3/18/20, had to cancel our April 2020 reservation because of the C-19 virus. Was not offered to apply my deposit to next year like our campground in Fort Myers did for us. She just gave me my cancellation number and hung up. We received our deposit in full a couple of days later.
This is a beautiful campground. The Atlantic Ocean across A1A, and the Inter-Coastal waterway out back.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a few guys working two sites a way. I ask them to repair a minor water leak when they had time on their work list. One of the men picked up a crescent wrench and fixed the leak right then.
Very quiet place. We can see why this campground fills up.
Due to the hurricane fall of 2017, the beach is hard to get down to due to erosion.
Two restaurants near by. Close to downtown St Augustine.
Keep this gem in mind when in the area. May 2019 the beach has new sand.

Had A Great Stay
I really like the feel of the camp ground. Very secluded. I would say the main downfall is the dirt roads, wasn’t an issue for us since it didn’t rain but it was a little hard for my disabled mother in law to get around on her scooter cart (it kept getting stalled in thicker sand areas). It is a place we really enjoyed, right across the street from the beach. The street is not too busy. Friendly staff. Would love to come back.

Wish I could give it ten stars!
Great campground and we LOVED the dirt roads! Please please please never have an inch of this place. The sites are nice with many of them being very private. We had #16 and it was incredible. Lots of trees. The Ocean beach is right across the road and there is great fishing on the river side (brackish) end of the park w/a pier and beach. 2 great restaurants in walking distance and a great heated pool. Just an awesome campground. (Yes, bathrooms were old but clean and fine unless you are a cranky old fart)

Let start by saying this is the perfect location, however the park needs serious updating. The bathrooms are in horrible condition, the roads and sites are all dirt and if it rains like it did for us your motorhome gets destroyed from tracking in dirt everywhere. Absolutely no WiFi. The good things are the sites are private and the staff was nice. Can’t see myself staying here again because of the dirt everywhere, crushed shells could be put down to try to help with all the dirt.

Great location. Nice, clean, air conditioned bath house. Back in site was tight. All roads and sites are dirt/crushed shells. No pads.

Excellent campground. A little pricey but worth it because of the privacy and space in the pull through sites. Nice pool and campground pet friendly. Publix nearby and restaurants. Very close to historic downtown St. Augustine.

Great Sites Facilities Need Upgrade
This is a lovely campground situated across from the Atlantic and also along the intercostal waterway. For the rather steep cost, the bathrooms, picnic tables and docks were in very poor shape. Our site was well landscaped and private. The office was efficient and helpful. Permanent private sections were trashy and had too many dogs, cheesy lights and excess stuff on site. This indicates to me poor management.

Beautiful property. Most sites are pretty private and plenty of space. Our view was of the inter coastal there’s a nice little beach on that side we walked our dog. Walk across street to Atlantic side. Also a couple restaurants near. One next door another across the street. Publix grocery a couple miles south We did not use any of their facilities or the pool so I can’t comment on those People running it are nice

Nice wooded campground with one side across the street from the Atlantic Ocean and the other side on a beautiful inland waterway with fishing pier. Friendly staff and clean laundry room and bathrooms, long pull thru sites for big rigs with toad, and very good restaurants very close by. The rates were good.
