Great Location!
We spent 5 nights here in mid October, weather was fantastic, and the beaches are beautiful! We found an open site at the last minute and drove down from Indiana. It was small and seemed oddly stuck in between 2 other sites, but no problems. We watched the Blue Angels practice from the Ft Pickens area, which was awesome! Only downside was found a nest of fire ants the hard way, ouch! We love the area and the beaches are as nice as anywhere we have been.

Not As Nice As Previously
Gave this place 5 stars a few years ago. But it has gone downhill. The location and basic features are still there. But the management leaves something to be desired.
They are obsessed about their rules. And quite rude in how they enforce them.
Check in time of 2 pm, and God help you if you are early (even when your site is empty and clean.
The dump station for loops B, C D and E is a nightmare to get into.
They eliminated the power for loops B and D

Beautiful place to stay. We really enjoy it but you can't do a reservation the day for the same night, its first arrive first served in this case. We arrived past 7 so the park was close no need to pay the parks fee and we talked with the host to get a site. Host was very fine. Close to the beach which was beautiful too

If you have a big rv this campground is hard to drive in. We were in loop C and it is very cramped. Almost no room between spaces and the upkeep is awful.
The campground hosts that we talked to were nice, not the same for the rangers.
The beach is close and beautiful. But not dog friendly.
Over priced.

The Best On The Beach
Really beautiful campground with space between campers. Plenty of nature and beaches to walk to. Drive to great restaurants. Showers are great...people it’s a beach campground - so if you are looking for perfection -head to the Hyatt. This is a well maintained campground - with the perks of a great beach.

Nice Campground
15 walk-in spots. Lots of great tent spots. Reservable RV spots are hard to come by unless you reserve far in advance. Thankful for showers, but they are below avg. Private shower rooms, but not ventalated well so everything gets moist. Everything else was wonderful. Clean facilities. Easy access to beautiful beach. Park Staff were all top notch & friendly. Would visit again for sure.

Best Beaches
The trip to Fort Pickens is well worth the time it takes at 25mph. The beaches are pristine, the sunsets are breathtaking, and then there are those Blue Angels...wow!
Plan ahead as if you are boon-docking; that way you are not spending unnecessary amounts of time to drive for food, supplies, or gas. The sites have water and electric. The dumping station is close by; the place has nice walking trails for the dogs and you can walk to the beach.

Had a great 1 night stay here at the park, we had to leave a day early due to a huge storm that was coming in and they closed down the park and make everyone evacuate the island due to safety concerns.
Rv sites had full hookups and were roomy, some looked crowded and few had shade.
The beach was great and very clean. Bathroom facilities right at the beach access. Would love to stay here again!!

Fort Pickens
Wonderful, scenic beach. Dont go there expecting a full service amenities like a washer/dryer. This is a National Park and the drive to Fort Pickens is ab 15 mins from nearest gas station/grocery. However, fantastic bird watching, excellent exploring of the fort and its history, top surf fishing, awesome jetties for snorkeling/diving, and one of the best secluded beaches you'll find with gorgeous water.

We arrived at 1pm Sept 23rd 2017..we got our camper squared away and I realized I needed to do some laundry. We loaded up everything and proceeded to search for the washerette!!!! We saw it and found "It was CLOSED until further notice "!!!!!! OMG. Are you freakin kidding me??? Your campsite is full campers and your laundry room is closed??? That makes no since AT ALL!!!! WE HAD TO DRIVE 22 MILES to find a laundromat!! Yep you heard me 22 freakin miles to do 2 loads of laundry. You people are pathetic!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves making PAYING campers drive all the into and beyong Pensacola just to wash some clothes...the hell with ya!!!!!!!

If u like quite this is the place. Everyone is friendly, the fort is a must see/visit. It's all by it's self 5 miles to town, but great food in town..it's a must for a person's bucket list.

Home Away From Home
We love to come here. People are kind and courteous. You have walking access to the sound and the gulf. Bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily. It's a quiet, laid back atmosphere. We will return often.

Very nice national seashore park, fort tours, museum, nature ctr. Walking/biking trails. Swimming in Pensacola Bay on one side, swim in Gulf if Mexico on other side of park. Fishing off the pier, very breezy, however not much shade.
