I will admit it was quiet until the weekend, but that’s ok kids have to let off steam..but…no Wi-Fi and when asked about it the lady at the office said they didn’t have it but if you wanted to pay 25.00 extra we could put it in,that’s why we don’t charge a lot.. we never saw anyone at the campground that was exactly in charge or you could ask any questions . If you are not an extremely good driver don’t expect to navigate these sites ,the trees are all in the wrong places they need to cut some down and trim the others.no site clean up till the weekend when they knew it would be crowded so they wouldn’t have to do it. Bathrooms were filthy when used them ,had to clean up first, and after getting in the shower it sprayed all your dry clothes that you had hanging out side of the first curtain….loved the river but will not go back…

Manatee Heaven
Beautiful, quiet campground with spacious sites. Like a state park, but with full H/U. Short walk to the river with boat ramp/kayak launch. Wonderful paddling among the manatees in the clear water.

Dec Camping In FLA
Right off of RT 19 lies this campground. It was,I was told a state campground
Navigate the trailer Park dont miss the right hand turn and you are there. Used the bathroom attached to the office area and it needs a revamp. Sink falling off the wall and kinda nasty. This is surprising in that the campground bath house was well done EXCEPT the goofy showerheads on both stalls in the men's side. Cheap garbage shower heads. Could not aim them. Come on guys. Such a simple thing to replace. They were clean well kept.
We rented a canoe $20+ and had a ball on that 83 degree day. The river is spring fed and lovely with Manatee swimming by often.
The camp sites were full service with sewer connection. The internet on site 7 was good. It got unusable as others signed on but it was fine. $47 a night was stout but you have to pay fo the internet right?
It was fine. We got to visit my uncle from spring hill. Wonder if there are any other campsites around the river,?

Buggy
This was our second visit; first 10 years ago. The campground is well maintained. The bathrooms clean and modern. The biggest problem is the bugs. Granted, camping in August in Florida is always buggy. We had a nice site, #7. But standing water behind the site. Mosquitoes! But worse yet we're the deer flies.
The campground is basically a place to stay near the river. So, unless you have or rent a watercraft, there is absolutely nothing to do.
Beware, this is redneck city. Behavior and language not so good for kids or classy adults.
Still... We'll come back.

Very Nice
We stayed here for one night in March 2019 in the full service RV section. I stayed in a small pop-up camper. All sites are shaded. It looks like many people stay for the season. The bathrooms were clean, well lit and air-conditioned. There is also a laundry facility. Dogs are welcome, most people have dogs and I did not see poop around so everyone picks up. Sites have a fire ring. There is a small camp store open until 5 PM. If you like boating or kayaking this is a great place for you. Workers were very friendly and helpful. My neighbors were also friendly. The nightly rate was a little expensive for me so I probably will not stay here again.

Wooded
This is just like a state park very wooded very tight spaces very dog freindly. Lots of dogs and lots of poop thru out the park. This is a kayakers dream! No tv service and wifi is very poor. We stayed 1 night we will not be returning.
