Beautiful Redwoods
We were recommended to come to Emerald Forest! It is beautiful but the back sites back up to 101 and it was very noisy! Not much to do here unless you have wheels to get out for the day! Would come back if we towed a car!

Well Managed Park In The Forest
This park is set in a forest and appears to be well-managed campground/rv park/cabin rental. Grounds are clean and facilities are well kept. There is ample space between rv sites so you aren't on top of your neighbors. Site #80 was perfect for our 30' TT. The arcade is legitimate...pretty cool. There is some road noise from 101, but it's not bad. We would stay again.

Overall A Nice Campground
For the most part, the campground is nice. It's located in a forest setting and the sites are pretty good size. The spots are dirt, which can be a real hassle when it keeps raining. But that's nothing the campground can control.
Only issue is we were in spot 11. The two spots on our sides were both full timers. Actually, one was a full timer in a 5th wheel who worked at the campground and the other was a small trailer that seemed to be available for staff. I'd think the campground would set things up a little better so they don't have people camping next to their employees rigs. The sites were kind of junky. Other than that, nice campground about 20 minutes away from Redwood National Park.

Very nice Stay
Enjoyed staying within the big trees, very beautiful sites and very nice staff. Park is all dirt, little rough and uneven but that’s also part of finding those gems. Best park we have stayed at so far, close to the beach with great views. Did not use bathrooms or amenities. Decent little store and propane on site.

Quiet And Beautiful in the trees
This place would be magic with kids in summer! Large redwoods, picnic areas, great dog walking. It was kinda muddy as we waited a few days for Hwy 101 mudslide repairs north of here. Cute town, great beaches and redwoods nearby. Would stay again. Staff was nice and accommodating.

A Decent And Well Managed Camp/RV Resort
In August 2020 we arrived after we called and reserved a tent site. The place is primarily for RVs, some big ones. There also are some camp sites with water. From there we did some local hikes along the coast and beaches. We enjoyed the stay and would like to return some days.

In the Trees
Great park off the 101. Nice staff on check-in. Site #22 was spacious, private and fairly level. Table and fire ring. Cable being up-graded and not available. Wifi was a little slow but usable. Verizon had three bars. Our two dogs loved all the smells. Will definitely be back.

Great RV Park
Best wifi we've had. Quiet and tidy. Huge redwoods through the park. Open late for late check in. Close to 101, but we didn't hear any noise. Only 30 amp. Over 300 channels on cable if you're a tv watcher. We would definitely stay again!

Nice Park
This park was "almost" the perfect RV park except we got there late and were given a space at the back which abutted the 101 highway. It was very loud with cars going by allnight and early next morning. Other than car noise i would give it a perfect score. Love the redwood forest. Busy park so call early and ask to be placed as far from highway as possible.

Very pretty. Close to two busy roads
Very picturesque. Good amenities. The biggest downside was how close it was too two different busy roads. It wasn't that bad, but notable.

Kids Loved It A Little Too Pricey
Overall the kids liked it and the trees throughout the park were pretty cool. I thought it was way too pricey for what they were offering. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lower the price and I would up my rating.

Group Campers
Would not recommend this campground until new owners learn how to properly run it. We reserved several sites for us and family only to be told that our reservations for adjoining site could not be honored.
We now have family and friends scattered throughout the campground.
PS they also raised the rates. We come here for a week every year, sorry we won't be back.
