Good Location
Decent campground. Sites not private but most have good spacing between sites. No hookups, but potable water to fill RVs and dump station. Laundry, showers, store, visitor center, and trails conveniently located here. A few miles General Sherman Tree trail parking lot. Good place for RVs as many of main attractions are in the southern half of the park. Note vehicle size restrictions south of tree museum (22'). Shuttles not available when we visited late Sept. Verizon cell worked well enough to stream movies.

Enjoyed Staying Here
Yes, the sites are close together (it’s a popular park) and the dumpsters are only at the entrance/exit of the loop. But I loved this park! Great trails and the camp store had a few beers by local breweries-bonus! The shuttle picks you up and takes you to General Sherman Grove and the Forest Museum. It was nice to not have to drive and deal with parking.

Loved It!
The girlfriend and I stayed there at site 160. We loved it the lots are close together but didn't bother us much we backed up to the creek and it was perfectly nice for us. It had water and a dumping station with walking distance to laundry and a market. Plenty of space to back our 23ft RV into our spot. Hikes that start right in camp were perfect for us and it was very quite becaue they didn't allow generator usage after a certain time. 22$ per night

Disappointed
Convenient location, but sites are very close together and restrooms and dumpsters are spread way out so you may end up a long way from one. That said, Lodgepole Village does have showers and laundry.

Great campground though sites are somewhat close together. All sites have large bear boxes. I had site 164 which was pretty nice - backed onto the stream although you could not see the water from the site. You could walk down to it though. Close to gift shop & market for supplies. I would stay here again

Perfect!
Great place. Very accessible and shuttle to Sherman and other sites walking distance. Loved! Water hook up only at some sites.
