Close To Sequoia
Location was excellent to N.P. No hookups. Water, bathroom/shower, dump station available. Not too many level sites. Lake fills starting mid-April, flooding many of the sites. No schedule posted for office, never there when looked. Disappointed host did not pick up litter left behind, especially knowing many areas would be under water soon and litter would be in Lake.

Good Pre-National Park Camp
About 20 minutes before Sequoia NP. NP camps were full, stayed here one night. Paved spurs, some pull through. RV Dump. Shared water spigots. Table and fire ring. Discount for Access Pass. At my time of visit there were dozens of camp sites.

Lake Too Full
May 22, 2019 the lake is at FULL POOL and the campground is closed. Call the Kaweha lake Corp of Engineers to see when it opens. We stayed just up the hill behind a berm turnoff along the highway. Free and nobody bothered us. I picked up about a bag of trash before we left. Don't go much further if you have a big rig. One more turn around place on the other side of the lake.

Camping
Super nice place to stop. Open space and privacy was great. Park rangers were very friendly and provided good information- they have warned us about the Velcro plant in the park. My poodle took off after a ball into a field and I ended up cutting all the embedded Velcro buds from his hair- he ended with a “rescue dog” haircut (all off). :)

Little Gem!
Nice place to camp before heading to Sequoia. Bathrooms near the office are needing upgrade, however the ones by the lake are new. Overall a very nice and quiet place. There are several pull thru sites but plenty of spaces if you are under 30'.

Great Find...
Great find on a Saturday evening after coming down from Sequoia. $20 for the night, plenty of spots available. It was hot at 6.30 when we rolled in but we swam in the reservior until the sun went down. Picked our own spot. Camping out of a minivan. After three weeks on the road this was a pleasant surprise so close to a National Park.

Rising Waters!
This is a beautiful campground early in the spring before they flood it! It goes from 80+ sites pre-flooding down to 5 hike in/boat in only sites when they raise the lake level. The sites are nice size and if you're lucky, pick a spot behind the gate, close to the water. The host & rangers were all great and gave us some great info for the area. Definitely a great place to stay and a short drive to Sequoia National Park.
