Rivernook

Beautiful beautiful location!! The spot we got was in the back away from everyone. No neighbors infront or in back of us. It was perfect. Well worth not being right on the river however it was only a 4 min walk to the river. The long time residents have really cute set ups and everyone was really nice. Our family loved our stay at Rivernook and can't wait to return!

Awesome Campground.

Camping here was awesome!! Check in was a breeze, found our site easily and had plenty of room. Wide drive way made it easy to back in our 34’ trailer. We stayed at camp site 56 that backs up to the creek and was great to cool off in, the kids had a blast. The river level was down up still moving quick. Fishing was epic my son and I maxed out every morning. Camp sites were clean and very well staffed. We will definitely make this a must go place each year.

We’d Go Back

My husband was recommended to go here from a co-worker and I’m so glad we went! We took our 32ft rv and got full hookups at spot 437 right on the rivers edge! It was so beautiful. The bathrooms are nice, the grounds are well maintained. The spots are roomy. The river had little rock pools that my kids loved playing in and I didn’t have to worry about them being swept away in a fast flowing river. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because there’s no limit to the amount of pets you can bring. When we pulled in there were 4 dogs on either side of us. That’s 8 freakin dogs! 3 of those dogs were pit bulls and they got in a huge dog fight. One of the owners was trying to get his dog off and got his hand jacked up. It was a huge mess. There should really be a limit, that was ridiculous and it made me nervous about my kids.We got there on Sunday and left Saturday the next week. I was happy to be leaving cause on the weekends there seems to be some riffraff. Overall I’d come back during the week.

I been going here for a long time. My work schedule is all over the place. So when I find out I got a weekend off and want to go there it's usually last minute. They always try to find ways to work with me so I can get a site. The staff are great ppl, very friendly and knowledgeable about the camp and the town. I would recommend this campground. Very roomie. They staff runs around the camp in a golf and checks the grounds often. They maintain it well. The bathrooms have been remodeled. There are streams that run threw the camp witch makes for a nice view. It's about 1 minute from Kernville witch has restaurants and a gas station.

So, we discovered Rivernook by luck. We decided last minute to take a trip to see the spring snow melt. They had a riverside spot and it was great. Riverside spots only have cable, power, water, no sewer, dump station near by. It's a little dusty, no grass but well maintained. Bathrooms were in the process of being remodeled while we were there, looked like it will be nice. I probably wouldn't stay there if I couldn't get a riverside or next to the river spot. Pretty good shade, friendly staff. No problem for bigger rigs. Best part of the trip was going to sleep by the roar of the river.
