Nice Stop Over
Beautiful setting next to highway 4. You do hear the roadway, a few cars in the daytime, not so much at night. Plenty of spaces to back a small trailer into, a couple are pull through. Campsites are first come first served. Fire-ring and bench table at each site. Plenty of shared amenities spread throughout so no long walks for the restroom or water and waste.
I would not spend a week here, but it makes for a nice stop over if you are on route.

Convenient
Nice elevation, forested setting, lots of room between sites, but, lots of road noise, unlevel sites.

Nice Place. Easy Access
Close to Bear valley, if you need supplies. There's a small creek that runs through the campground for splashing around. Vault toilets are available. Potable water is usually available after the spring thaw. Dumpsters are available as well. There's no fishing or proper swimming here. You'll need to travel elsewhere for that. Lake Alpine it's just up the road.
