A challenge indeed
So thankful that we drove up to the campground without the trailer. This is definitely a tent camping destination. The camp roads are narrow and the sites are shallow and perpendicular to the road. If you are lucky enough to find a site you can get into then you have to cope with trying to level up. Even if you are tent camping, you have to deal with all of the weeds because it appears that nobody camps here. Bathrooms are closed this time of year with portapotties outside of them. The visitor center is awesome with a nice day use.

Amazing Campground - Hidden Gem!
Absolutely gorgeous. We were one of 3 campers that we saw in Loops A and C all week (week days only). Quiet, peaceful, exactly what we wanted.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
*Reservations required!! You will get an email with the gate code that changes weekly (I strongly suggest taking a screen shot of this email as cellular service is very limited)
*Site to be assigned only upon arrival and meeting with the caretaker. Cannot select a site ahead of time.
*Attended - but hours at the front gate are unknown. The caretaker seems to live in a trailer just next to the main gate house. Very nice guy, sells firewood for $9 if you’re interested.
*Medium trailers - should be experienced. *We have a 33’ 5th Wheel and it was a challenge.
*Loop “C” - no trailers allowed.
*Loop “A” - small/medium trailers, use caution.
