Secret Place; Don’t Tell Anyone.
Great place with level full hookups at a reasonable price. Good walking distance to downtown with many places to eat. Walk to church! Great for overnight or longer. Another secret is Dixon Ready Ride. A dial a ride service provided by the City. Door to door for just a few dollars! I think it was $5 to go to Tractor Supply and back. Double check the hours of operation because it will not work for dinner. Good over the air TV reception. Cools down at night with a delta breeze in the summer.

Very Nice City Park
This park appears to be a little known secret. They have 20 gravel RV slots available on a first come basis. Very clean and well set up. The slots are full hookups with 30A and 50A service, are fairly level and they are WIDE. An additional 8 electric only and uneven asphalt slots appear to also be available but they are only 20A and back up to a noisy busy road, with a cemetery across the street. Each of the 20 gravel RV slots has their own small orange or grapefruit tree with plenty of fruit on the tree; I arrived when the fruit was still green. Slots back up to a residential neighborhood so good manners and low noise levels are in good taste, so us RV’ers don’t get a bad reputation. The Fairgrounds office is where RV’ers register and pay; staff is very nice and efficient. The office accepts credit cards but it closes at 5pm and only open on weekdays. A park host is available for after office hours check in but only accepts cash payments.

Nice Clean Fairground Rv Park
Stayed 2 nights. Wonderful ladies in fairgrounds office who helped me. They have both full hookups spaces and partial. Partial hookups are on asphalt at front next to main road, they are tight with slides outs. Full hookups are backed up to fence (next to residential homes) on gravel. These are huge spaces (almost like you could fit 2 non-slide trailers side by side in each space). One last thing, if they have special events or the fair going, the rv park is closed. Call ahead to check on availability. No reservations accepted, first come first serve. For the price, friendly staff, and full hook ups, i will come back again.
