I was here in winter, and it was awesome. I can see where it would be a zoo during the summer, but in Jan/Feb I'd guess that 20% of the sites were being used, max. And aside from the staff being pretty unfriendly (thus the 4 stars instead of 5) I really liked this place. It just seemed like the registration gals were all having bad days.

Great Place!
We spent a weekend here and had a great time. The campground was well taken care of and the staff were great. The public beach was awesome and the kiddos loved it. The only downside is how packed this place can get. Would stay again!

Very well kept campground. The crowd we shared the campground with was quiet and respectful. I will be back to visit again.

This is a rustic campground and one of our favorites. Most sites have water and electric but no sewer. They do have dump stations and a honey wagon service. Sites are mostly level. Fishing is great in the spring as they stock about 50,000 fish each year. The lake is wonderful for fishing, boating and swimming. There is no or little cell service but available close by and wifi is only available by the store. The store is very nice and they are famous for their ice cream. Large servings and very low prices. This is a very well managed campground.
