Desert Wonderland
All the positive comments in previous reviews are right on target. If you like desertscapes and warm, sunny weather during the winter months, this place can't be beat. Make reservations early, though we lucked out without on the Sunday and during the week following Thanksgiving. Spacious sites are all pull-through, hook-ups in great shape, clean and plentiful restrooms and showers, knowledgeable rangers, and friendly camp hosts.

Clean Park
Nice campground. RV spots are roomy and full hookups make it more enjoyable. Only a few minutes away from downtown and from the metal sculptures. Bathrooms are clean and so is the entire campground. Visitor center is a must! Great hiking trail in the campsite too!

Nice Spot
Room for big rigs in most spots. Beautiful scenery, close to visitor center. Showers avail but they have full hook ups. Recommend staying here, but book early as it fills up durring winter and spring. Getting there from Temecula area is not fun, montezuma6grade is steep and you will be white knuckliing. Done it a few times. Recommend spending extra time in road and go around through salton sea.

Recreation
The park is very busy winter months, must have reservations. Great location for 4X4 trails. The camp site is located in a geologic wonderland but you need to get off road to see "Fonts Point" and sand dunes.
