One Night, Impulse Trip
On a whim, I decided to go to Crystal Lake. Sure, the lake is dry, but the camping is quiet.
Decently maintained, fairly clean, the store and cafe are good for forgotten items, and it is an easy get away location.

Just stayed there early sept 2016..very nice being in the large pine forest and we parked our travel trailer in a nice spot..some people were inconsiderate in playing loud music but that is not related to the campground itself which was nice..a few sporadic water outlets were around the sites bit not all worked..it appears only loop A,B&C were open for Rv but any big tt or rigs would be bit tough to get around easily..we have a 15ft tt and no issues..being disabled I used the C loop handicapped section which had 4 nice spots..the camp site is not really close to the lake at all but the store is great..the guy who runs it is nice and his hrs were great,,from around 9am to 6pm on weekends..he had basic burger and breakfast meals in the $6-9 range and the store stocks quite a bit of misc items if you forget stuff at home,,even had cold weather clothes for sale...no open fires right now and he cant respupply rv propane tanks but nice to have a store for other items..
