Great Place To Stay
I stay here a couple of times a year and find it to be a very relaxing place to stay. The tugs at night are just a mild rumble and if it causes a problem for sleeping you might want to see a Doctor. I've been staying here for a few years and the tugs have never bothered me.

Good Stay
Was in park four days. Park is no frills but very large. Lots of room for the pooch to run and explore. Wifi is mostly non existent so don’t count on it. No cable and pretty noisy on a Saturday night (dirt track car racing nearby). The REAL DOWNSIDE is the roads in West Memphis and Memphis are HORRIBLE. They will beat you and your coach to death. Fair value

A Bit Noisy, But OK
It was our second time at TSRVP in that many years. On our way to the east coast for one night, it allowed us to catch up some sleep, dump our waste tanks and fill up with fresh water. Like others said, not much to do. A lots of folks are camping there to visit Memphis. Note that wi-fi is flaky at best, and that fluvial transport is noisy. Very cute to look at barges going up and down stream in the daytime, but it it also annoying and sleep-disruptive as it also keeps going overnight.

Good Onenighter
We stayed there one night only. Like others said there isn’t much to do there. We didn’t use any if the facilities. The site we had was on a concrete pad which is great for leveling. I would stay there again if only pasdy through the city.

No toys, no active intertainment, nothing to do. Unless you can sit by the river, watch the boats and barges, read a book, have a conversation with your friends, take a walk, stare at the moving water, empty your mind and recharge your batteries Then it would be worth you time for a few days or longer if you can swing it.

Interesting Park
Enjoyed a great view of the barges on the Mississippi River. But I feel it is overpriced for the lack of amenities. Didn’t seem like any staff were around the park even during business hours. Office is run down & lots of junk laying around. Picnic table was horrible.

Great place, so spacious and view to Mississippi River. Sun rising is amazing to view. Lady there were very courteous. If it rains, would be an issue. Also the access to park is bit confusing if you arrive night.

POOR MANAGEMENT
The park itself is OK, unless they get a lot of rain. My issue isn't with the park, it's with the management. We arrived on 30 April and paid for one week. The ONLY reason we chose this park was (1) the Navy base RV Park in Millington. TN was not open due to COVID-19 policy and (2) the Agricenter is not what it used to be. We are full-time RVers and we're based out if Millington, so we return to the area once a year to visit family, see all of our Doctors and renew our scripts for the next year. After we completed our first week we elected to convert to a monthly rate as we felt it wouldn't impact our access to the Memphis side of the river. During our first week we were notified that the base had opened however we elected to stay in place. UNFORTUNATELY the Hernando De Soto Bridge closed down on the 11th of May which significantly impacted our transit to and from the Memphis side of the river. I informed them of the situation and explained we needed to move. They refused any refund.

Best Place To Stay When Visiting Memphis
Clean, cheap, and LOTS of room to run your dogs or your kids. Safe and quiet away from the big city, although you can see the big city lights across the beautiful view of the river. Long walking trails, you get to see a riverboat barge pass at least once a day, easy to get into and out of Memphis and, on yeah- there’s a THREE STORY TREE HOUSE for you to climb. There are expensive ‘river front’ spots and less expensive spots back from the river aways, the difference might be $100 for a week, but we choose the cheap spots and didn’t see any difference in the views or the experience. Also FREE LAUNDRY?!? Lots to love, will definitely stay again if visiting Memphis. Oh, and definitely take a picture with the sign that shows how high the river went at its highest recent flood- it’s taller than your Class A!

There’s a reason why this place has all these comments. It is worth every penny. Don’t hesitate in staying here. The barges are great too see. Very level spots. We had #95. There are no trees from spots 90-100 but that isn’t a big deal. You’re on the Mississippi River. Trees aren’t necessary here. We’ll return here in a heartbeat. Clean and a very big grass area as in football field size or bigger. Benches along the river to enjoy whatever. This place is huge but quaint.

Perfect View
We stayed here overnight while traveling, and had a level concrete pad FHU site right on the river. Caught up on some laundry for free while here! Got a 10% Good Sam discount also. It's a unique park off the beaten track, but the views of the river tugs were worth it. Ample green space; I do wish they had a fenced area for a dog park. Other than that, it's a great place.

We have stayed over night here several times. I like the river view and the barge traffic. It is not fancy with alot of amenities but peaceful. Floods alot in the spring . Major highway construction going on in the area. It will be nice when it is finished. Just over the river from Memphis downtown attractions.

Good View But That’s It
Lovely and peaceful view of the river but that’s all I can say the place has going for it. You drive through a sketchy area getting there. Woman greeting us not friendly at all. Bath houses are very few and very old. No shade. Not the worst but I won’t be back.

Great River Views
This place has been under water due to recent floods and is still not totally dried out, so we had to deal with some mud since it rained while we were there. Our concrete pad sat right on the river so we enjoyed watching the barges go up and down the river, but there was no shade and the park looked run down. It is off the beaten path which is nice. Only night sounds we heard were the barges on the river.

Great Place
We called in late and the staff was so pleasant. They said there was no issues with us arriving late and stop by the office for our envelope. To get there in the dark is slightly difficult but it not to bad. Road just little winding. The site is very clean and beautiful to wake up to the view in the morning. We did not stay on concrete pad and definitely will do that next time, the gravel was muddy but not to bad. They have concrete pads by the river and we will come stay again just for that! We did not use the laundry or bathrooms so we can’t comment on them. This is a great stop if you are passing through! Oh and big rigs can fit in there easily. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!!

Definitely A Do over
We would definitely recommend this campground when your in the area. It’s off the highway enough to feel you are camping out of the city, but close enough to get back on the interstate within minutes. The campground’s main attraction is the river traffic on the Mississippi River. Multiple benches are set up along the riverbank for you to relax and watch life float by. For those that don’t typically like to hear Diesel engines, the tugs pushing the barge traffic can be heard lumbering by. We thought that the rumbling of the boats were quint and enjoyed the experience. The bathroom facilities were nice, they offer free use of their laundry and dryer facilities and the sites are spacious. The nightly rate is a bit high for the “amenities” but you are paying for the location by the river.

Neat Place
Neat little place for stopping. We stopped here to stay the night during a cross country move. It’s just a few miles off I-40, and right on the banks of the Mississippi River. Yes, there is barge traffic on the Mississippi - but the noise was not unreasonable and did not keep us up. At no point did we ever feel unsafe. Everyone was nice and hospitable. Overall- a very unique park that’s worth a stop! We will stay here again if passing through Memphis.

We were unsure about this place at first but enjoyed our stay. Surrounded by woods so we felt safe and the noise was not a problem because we use a fan at night to drown it out. Owners were on the phone giving direction due to road construction but I was able to reach them. Park was cleaning up due to a flood in February so it was not pristine but nice none the less. I would stay again just to sit and watch the barges on the river. Benches along the river to rest. Fair price compared to some places.

I don't understand the good reviews
Pros: - Free laundry - Staff is friendly when you can get ahold of them Cons: - Office never answers the phone. Called 4 times in 2 days during their open hours and no one answered. - Dusty or muddy. No inbetween. Barely any grass. - WiFi is spotty and unreliable. Don't advertise it if you can't supply it. - Construction debris and garbage everywhere, it's disgusting and an eyesore - It's located in a very sketchy town and surrounded by industrial factories - LOUD. Between the barges, trains, and gunshots from surrounding properties, it was impossible to get a good nights rest. Conclusion: We stayed for 3 nights and it was very underwhelming. Spoke to a few neighbors who had the same opinions and left early. I wouldn't recommend this place and will never go back. I don't know if these others are all fake reviews, but it sure does seem like it. It is so extremely overpriced for what it is. Felt like I got robbed.

Great Place to for Pets
We stopped at the Tom Sawyer RV Park for one night and the park owners were very nice and accommodating. The sites were concrete and level, the gravel area outside of the parking pad was a little on the muddy side. Our site was right on the Mississippi River and the views were great. The trails were plentiful for walking the dogs although they were quite wet. Water, sewer, and 50 amp hook ups were very nice. WiFi was spotty but did work. No cable is provided but there is excellent antenna coverage. Bathhouses included a single stall of men and separate for women, they were clean and heated.

Great Overnight Stay!
We loved this park!! Ok the road to get back to it is a little scary but we had a beautiful front spot (#66) looking over the river and loved watching all the barges go by. Lots of people sitting on the benches looking over the water too. Tons of open space for dogs--wish they would put a fenced in dog run--there's plenty of room for it. Our satellite didn't work cuz we were too close to a tree but cable worked fine. Mosquitos are rampant so bring your OFF but it's a great stop for overnight and if you're wanting to see things in Memphis it's a quick drive there!

Very nice and very peaceful. Office folks are friendly and knowlegable. Sites are mostly level with most being gravel. Some are concrete but as spring time floods wash them out they are replacing with gravel. Most are pull thru sites with a few back-in. Some are full sun but the view of the Mississippi is fantastic. Laundry facilities are no charge. Be careful with placement of your RV. The water connection is close to the pad and your slide outs may hit it. We will be back.

Very Peaceful
We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The park is located on the banks of the Mississippi and is a short 15-20 minute drive to downtown Memphis or Graceland. The sites were easy to drive into, and I believe all were pull through. Some sites have less privacy than others (not as many trees or shade as other parks) but were sufficient for a short stay. There is a large green space area in the park which is nice, but no playground or pool. Overall, we had a great stay and would like to return in the future.

Convenient stop over for 1 night, request a site on the river front if available. Facilities were not very impressive, free laundry machines if you want to do you laundry there. Very nice park. The sight I was in was in a wooded area and we'll shaded. The gravel sight was level as it appeared all sights were. We never got to the laundry - bath house but it looked nice. My GPS took me through a seedy neighborhood & industrial area but, once there we found a much more direct route to the highway into Memphis. Once you cross the berm onto campground grounds, you forget your in an industrial area. The staff was friendly and helpful. A staff member stopped by several times to ask if every thing was OK and to picked up trash.

I've driven over the Mississippi River many times over my lifetime and I thought this was a perfect place to stay and see the Mississippi River up close! Not nearly enough shade imo. The grounds closer to the river are very well kept, but no wind breaks. View is lovely, but Wi-Fi is crap, and bathrooms are dirty, and very out of date. Beat thing about it was the free laundry. There was a huge storm, and I was convinced all the campers were going to get blown into the Mississippi. Trees are our friends.
