Exceptional clean sites, restrooms, nice hiking trail. Not to close together very wooded.

Awesome state park. Nice fire rings and the sites are well maintained. The walk down to the river is paved and a great walk. There is a playground for the kids and they are completely renovating one of the bath houses. We had no issues getting in or out with our 36ft trailer.

Great park. Campground was really nice well maintained. Diamond mining was fun but you are just digging in dirt. No Covid restrictions were renting equipment to mine. Would recommend.

Outstanding Park!
After diamond mining (rock/dirt mining) we enjoyed the great concrete path through the woods down to the river in the park. Don’t miss it - beautiful/restful path. The back in level asphalt site is big enough even I could back in with my 32’ 5th wheel. Very well kept park - didn’t use the facilities. Only bad part was the construction noise during daytime, but they are upgrading things.

Pretty Place
The campground is very nice, and probably worth the price if you have an Access Pass or Senior Pass. The diamond area is a pit that is unshaded and tilled soil (pictures). The office doesn’t rent any equipment right now even though COVID-19 couldn’t survive overnight without a host. There are two sets of showers and bathrooms. One in the tent section and one in the RV section. One is closed for 24 hours starting at 5pm while one remains open.
The emailed reservation confirmation a camper receives is incorrect. Campers are supposed to leave by 3:00pm.

Nice park
My second time here. Beautiful park. Lots to do. Biggest attraction is searching for Diamonds, but there is also hiking, great unique shops, a pool, and more. The only negatives would be that there are
1) No Pull-Thru Camp-Sites
2) No knobs to adjust temperature of water in the shower. (Seriously, who wants to go in to wash the sweat of a 99° day off of them... And come out of the shower more sweaty than when they went in???)
Overall, definitely stay here, though.

Perfect!
Perfect place to just go and get away.Great price when you factor in the condition of pads and the facilities..The Diamond mine is fun for the whole family!..If digging in the dirt isn't your thing then there is plenty of nature to enjoy..Think outside,no box required.

Impromptu Stay
Bathrooms were decently clean and well maintained. Would have been better if we found diamonds though.
