Not Surprised, Not Disappointed
A scattering of a dozen or so rigs at the time so it wasn't crowded. Plenty of room. If rain is in the forecast pick your site carefully. The whole site is in line of a wash. Some of the campers found their patio furniture washed away or large puddles of water under and around their rigs. The frequent passage of trains can interrupt a good sleep. Some may see it as trash, but some group in the past has spent a lot of time setting up a pretty cool looking airsoft/paintball field in the trees.

Camp Host
From the 2018 - 2019 host, I had a good winter season here. Arrived 1st week of October and departed 15th of April. Thanks to all for a great season.

Take Another Look
I agree with the other reviews that it can be noisy and dusty, but I still give it a 5. We've spent many a night at Wal-Mart's and truck stops, and even across from an airport, so we didn't find the noise excessive. Being next to the road makes it very convenient. Dusty comes from the desert right across the road, which you can cross under using the wash and have a lovely walk to the mountains, though some areas are No Trespassing. While we were there they did have a host. Can get a little crowded but everyone was quiet enough and friendly. And sometimes you can buy a meal and I think even dance at the VFW. And on the back side are a fair number of shady spots. No services but it's free. Not far from town, gas, shopping, fishing, restaurants and other touristy things. Two week max stay. One annoying item was the number of people that didn't pick up after their pets, but I just show our appreciation for the place by picking up a little extra when I walk our dog.

Noisy!
Very small area tucked behind VFW post. (GPS had entrance further north). Right on US 95, with very active UPRR tracks diectly across the highway. Maybe good for a quick overnight, but i couldnt envision a long stay here.

Gets crowded
Good place for boondocking but gets crowded in the winter. Dusty. Free, no host.
