We stayed here on January 12 and 13. What a nice place. Camp sites are spacious and very clean. Lots of trails for walking. There are wild donkeys in the area. Their signs are everywhere. I heard some one night but did not make visual contact. This is a popular fishing lake and there were a few boats bringing their catch to the fish cleaning station. People do like to ride their 4 wheelers on the designated trails. The noise is very minimal. I am looking forward to my stay again next year.

Far, Quiet, Clean
I feel like we've been on a lucky streak with all the clean camping areas we've seen...this is no exception.
Parked at loop C, overlooking the lake, dump station at the loop amd water, elec at the site. Sites a spacious enough amd the views are great.
A few UTV riders around but didn't make much fuss once they left the area you can't hear them.
Birds are curious and courageous, so don't leave anything out.
Also wandering cows...haven't seen any but plenty of "clues" left behind.
I will say it's a drive worth taking. But nothing near by. So come prepared.

Peaceful
Had a great 5 nights there. Even without a boat or atv we were able to enjoy the camp ground and surrounding terrain. The burro were entertaining to say the least. Had att phone reception the whole time, nice little market (no liquor) and clean restrooms. Had to many street lights for star gazing but it was keeping it safe for the boaters coming in at night.
