Good Birding Year Round and Free Camping
This free camping site caters mostly to birders ... especially during winter when sandhill cranes are here. There is about 2 or 3 miles or gravel road that can be dusty to access the site. It consists of a round gravel parking area with a toilet in the center and some picnic tables around the perimeter, but absolutely no shade! Its a short walk to some ponds with some trees that offer good birding. Aside from birders, I can only imagine rv folks passing through spending an overnite. Being a birder, I spent 2 nites here in April after the sandhill cranes headed north and plan to return during the winter.

White Water Draw
Great place to park overnight to see Sandhill cranes Nov-Feb. Circular parking area around vaulted toilets. There were 9 RVs parked there the night we stayed in a truck and 36' 5th wheel, and there was room for 1 or 2 more. Area is at main viewing area off Coffman rd before car parking lot. There is overflow parking at Bagby and Coffman along road.
