We stayed here a few nights. I’m just going to list pros/cons. Pros: full hookups; usually quiet; pleasant staff; small laundry facility. Cons: about 1 hour away from North Rim; the north side spots either back to DIRT road or are close to it. The Road is used by forestry, AZ wildlife & game, and I think dispersed campers — they drive faster than should causes lots of dust. Some going at least 40 mph. Surprised camper villager hasn’t worked with forestry to slow the traffic. Our spot was hot and small and looked to back of “private residence”. We were also at the exit of the campground. We were also very close to neighbors. Laundry facility was on the other side (had to drive). Only two old washers/dryers. Checkout time too early. There are much better spots further in and away from dirt road for the SAME price. These north side spots should discounted and people should be advised of the dirt.We booked months ago. We won’t stay here again. Rather dry camp.

Mediocre

Hostess was pleasant but kind of syrupy sweet. Ron, who took us to our site was great, very helpful. The park has brand spanking new electric pedestals -- easy hookup. New gravel on some of the sites, but overall the park was very dusty. The walk into the Jacob Lake Inn restaurant was a bit far for this 80 year old!

We stayed 4 nights in the beginning of September 2021. The lady that greeted us was very friendly as was Tom who took us to our site. The park is full of tall pines and was very quiet. We had a pull through site for our 32’ fifth wheel. I’ve read bad reviews about this park. Those people need to stay in the cities and camp on asphalt. We will go back.

Very Sloped Sites

We had reservations for a dry site ($20/night). We were the Ist here so we had pick of the litter, best site we found was in the tent camping area. Most dry sites slope 20% or more. Chemical toilets, pay showers for $2.25 for 5 min. Better choice yet, leave and go to Jacob Lake Forest Service campsite, it is less than 2 miles away. We happily gave up what we had paid and reserved to get out of this side hill sloped mess to go to a flat site with well ventilated pit privies. If you need power this is your place, if not go elsewhere.

Great camping!! Very quiet campground. Big trees all around. Good location to North Rim if your looking for full hook up. Restaurant near by was good.

Excellent Forest RV park

We stayed here 01 - 04 Jun 2020. The camp hosts were great folks. We discovered we couldn't use our charcoal grill due to fire restrictions so they gave us a loaner propane grill to use. Small country store on site with ICECREAM! The lots are relatively large gravel in the pine trees w/full hookups. Everything is spread out. There is shower/bath facilities and laundry. Hiking paths outside the gates. And your at 8000 ft up in cool weather. Hwy 67 to the north rim is a mile up a graded road. We definitely will stay here again if we return this way. Sites are very reasonable as well. The entrance to the park is down from the lodge. It's wrong in the Park app. You turn off 89A towards the north rim and you'll see the road on the right about 800 feet past the lodge.

Kaibab Camper Village

Small, poorly managed camp ground, but closest available open near North Rim entrance (30 miles). Biggest problem was there were no signs with the name of the camp ground until the entrance-only references to RV park. Go to www site for best navigation. Manager/owner not helpful. Staff we met tried to be helpful.

Cool Retreat

Views surrounding this campground are awesome! Tall ponderosa pines, Kaibab squirrels running around and green meadows. The tent sites have lots of room but RV sites are practically on top of each other. The staff are very helpful....kudos to Rick and Charlotte! Nice 1 mile trail to Jacobs Inn. Gotta have their homemade cookies! Love it there.

We were very fortunate to find a cancellation, in the middle of June, could not have enjoyed it more, great campground in a great location, there is also a lot of great dry camping in the area that might be worth checking out but this place was great for where it is and what it was thank you for everything

Great location, Friendly Staff

This place is a great base camp for a visit to the North Rim. Scott, Russ, and Sharon are the nicest camp hosts you will find. Great scenery, and it’s nice and cool up in the forest. We arrived early, and were allowed to set up camp before 10 am.

Mr

Stayed there in May 2019. Weather was not good (snow). Campground is in a beautiful setting. Hugh pondorosa pines everywhere. Water pressure seemed a little weak. Beside that and weather would recommend.

Had a good time; friendly employees at the Grand Canyon national park. Spacious and secure-good spot for a north rim visit.

Don't Arrive Before Check-in

We were on the road early from Bryce. Arrived here at 9:00 am to have time to see the park. Was told we'd have to pay a $20 storage fee. We went down to DeMotte campground and took one of several first come sites for $10 with senior pass. Gave up the $40..

Great place for North Rim layover. Pleasant and helpful host. Will stay again.

Nice and Clean. Loved the campgrounds. Quiet and great woodland creatures to observe.

Favorite Campground For North Rim

Closest place to North Rim with hookups. Helpful staff. Minimal camp store. Level spots among pines. Did not use facilities that are “rustic”. Nice level strolling in area. Need a car to get around or unhook

Only thirty amp service, water can't fill your tank and sewer must be detached if you leave. Showers are pay for time and rattlesnake works front desk!

Ok - Poor Laundry Hours

Beautiful place. Really, my only complaint is the laundry hours. If you are not done by 7:00 pm sharp, you are out of luck. I guess since laundry is only open during prime sightseeing hours, you have to count in a half day for laundry. Nevermind that the North Rim is still an hour drive away and you will miss valuable time in this beautiful country.

Kaibab Camper RV Park

Ok campground, toilets and showers leave some room for improvement. Only sites on North Rim with full hookups and they know it!! Staff was rude. Won't go back. Lots of places to dry camp, and you won't have to put up with staff

Shower

I ordered a place for and on þhe phone she said nothing about that the showers are 2.25$ per 5 minutes and when i asked her that in the second phone call she yell on me that she mention that in the first phone call and she didnt want ro give a refund.

Retired

This is a remote RV park, but it is quiet, cool, peaceful, and staffed with friendly folks. I enjoyed the stay. They have to truck in their water, so the showers are $2.50/5 minutes and filling your freshwater holding tank can invite a surcharge. The toilets are permanent porta-potties, reasonably clean. Some of the gravel sites require leveling blocks. Lots of shade from the ponderosa trees.
