Stayed here at Christmas and the weather was unseasonably warm. The campground was empty but the staff was still friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Wonderful
This state park is well loved by locals and staff and it shows ! Level full hookups in E loop. This park is huge and stays full, definitely make your reservations. Removed from the town of Guntersville but not unreasonable to go to. Hope we have a chance to go back.

Beautiful Park
The park itself is beautiful and there is plenty to do there including golf and zip lines. The sites sit right by the lake, which is both nice for the view, but annoying for the boats. They had what sounded like the start of a fishing tournament at 6:00 AM on a Thursday. We got woken up by a guy speaking on a loud speaker and the rumbling of approximately 100 bass boats on the lake. The site we had was basically dome shaped so either bring a few leveling blocks or play with it to get the wheels leveled on either side of the dome. The site also appears to be done with crushes recycled asphalt so make sure you bring shoes/slides as it hurts to walk on it barefoot.

An o k campground. Sites a little to close for my liking. No shade. A lot of boats makes it hard for kayaking. Maybe come back sometime just not in the near future

Hire A Park Supervisor And Is Not A Zoo
They need to hire a park supervisor as it’s not kept well, needs repaired lots/roads, bird poop all over outside bathroom doors on entry sidewalk, loud large dogs barking all day and eve, disrespectful campers up all night talking loud partying, people feed wild deer it’s not a petting zoo, no host stopped or fixed any of this. Unrestful stay.

Great Stay
This park is local to us(only 7 miles away) but this was our first time staying with our TT. We stayed in the F section which was nicely shaded. Highly recommend

New Years Trip
We stayed for 7 nights in site E09... by far the best site! No obstructed views, water front, and right next to the bath house. My in-laws stayed next to us in site E06 (paved sites, others are gravel). The Lodge is at the top of the mountain inside the park (great buffet & views of the campground). There are plenty of site seeing/exploring things to do around the park (trails, animals, caves, streams). The deer in the park followed us around like dogs, very used to people. They were at our camper steps each night to say hello (please don't feed them). Our teenage boys loved the park. The bath house is VERY clean!

Geat Camping Experience
Stayed here for 4th of July weekend for the first time. Highlights were: cleanest bathrooms this side of Disney World Camp Wilderness, very helpful and friendly camp store staff and campers, the nearby lodge had reasonably priced buffet meals(but only slightly above average food) , and tons of deer are walking alongside the campsite. We really enjoyed our stay here.

2 June 2019: a very nice park. Well laid out, peaceful, quiet, clean, beautiful setting. On the banks of the Tennessee River and no mosquitoes, not a single one. We will be back. Only drawback and it’s not the campgrounds fault, way too many people were not picking up after their dogs

Good Place
Huge place with a great lodge and decent food and beer. Fully functional amenities everywhere and room for as many campers and RVs as you could possibly imagine. Very respectable network of hiking trails and tons of great Waterfront.

Loved the park.
We stayed for a week in April of 2017. Hardly anyone there during the week. Easter weekend it did become more used. The showers were clean and water pressure was great. We stayed for a week. Our site had a concrete pad which was nice. Lots of birds to photograph and right on Lake Guntersville. We enjoyed the stay very much. Would definitely go back. We enjoyed setting under the awning and watching life go by.

Holidays no Good!
Don't go here on a holiday weekend unless you like the feel of living in trailer park,Wi-Fi is useless when it's full so don't count on Netflix as a means of television, only good thing about this place is that the bathhouses are new since the tornado plus since then there's no trees either just some friendly advice!
