Don’t plan on bringing man’s best friend. The park is nothing but overcrowded COE park. Stayed at a private campground just down the street for $42 a night.

Pretty Campground But No Pets Allowed!

Right on the Water
Probably the best campground we have ever stayed at. It is ran by the U S Army Corp of Engineers and located on Summersville Lake. Literally just a few feet from the water. Clean facilities, playground, sandy beach area, playground, boat launch area, and probably the clearest inland scuba diving water east of the Mississippi River.
Biggest drawback is that it's almost impossible to get in during the weekend in the summer time. Week day is not to bad but it's best to call for reservations.
