New River Campground Update

IA flash flood in August damaged significant parts of the grounds and infrastructure. Restoration is ongoing. Plan on calling and speaking with management to make sure your rig can be accommodated. Still a great location in a gorgeous natural area. The river valley is narrow, so trains and traffic noise will always be part of the unique charm.

Good Location Near river

Small sites along river are really the way to go here. Sites in the Second tier back from river are crowded, open and right next to road. There is no shade. The river sites are set up so people are encouraged to pull there rigs parrellel with river but dending on on rig length you could be pretty close to your neighbor, end to end. River is pretty though. Mgmt keeps indiv locked bathrooms for tent campers which is a good idea during covid. You will get noise from passing trains during the night. Facilities are tired and grounds could use a little clean up

Enjoyed our 4 day stay at this little campground by the New River. While the river is beautiful, the place could use a little grounds keeping TLC. We did not utilize the restrooms or laundry, but they did look clean.

In A Van Down By The River

Nice little campground right on the New River. Our campsite is parallel with the river for an amazing view. Plenty of ducks and geese to keep the dogs amused. Full hook up in all sites and a friendly staff make this an ideal spot.

Outstanding

From the owner to the camp host and location, this has got to be the spot next to heaven. The owner I loves the area and wants it to thrive and the camp host takes care of every need. Location right on the river makes it serine.

Pretty campground right on the river. We drove by it and had to turn around. Luckily there was a parking area a bit down the road. It's easy to miss the entrance. Look for the gold colored cement block building as seen in the pictures. You can hear the trains across the river on the other side which I like. Bathrooms very clean. We will go back.
