Nice And Quiet

The park is as people have stated before. But the price is $20 as of July 2023. It is $10 if you have a geezer pass.

Arrived 5PM midweek at the end of July to a half empty campground. It was still very hot at 94 degrees but cooled off to below 70 after the sun went down. Many shady sites to choose from. Good experience and only $12.

I ended up at Klipchuck Campground, Geo loc: 48.5982, -120.5129 There were a lot of empty sites when I arrived after 5:00 on a Tuesday. The roads are paved. The trail there can be challenging, but beautiful views at the top. *NOTE: you can hear highway noise from camp, but it’s not very loud at all

Host told me that the campground is mainly used by hikers taking advantage of the excellent hiking in the area. They are usually pretty busy on weekends. There are tent camping sites and quite a few for RV's. No problem for our 35 footer class A and the hosts told me that they have had motorhomes over 40 feet. The entire campground is shaded by tall trees and there is a short walk to a nice spot on Early Winter Creek. Rest rooms are clean and so is the campground. This is a great place to take rest from traveling or spend a week out in the woods. We would stay at this campground again.
