Great place. A lot to do in the area only complaint, the grass wasn’t mowed. It as shin high at camp site causing the bugs to be really bad but enjoy the trip

This place was great for a quick get away weekend! You can walk to the brewery from your site or walk across the street to the cidery! They were selling hot hard ciders that were amazing, bonus you get to keep the mug! There was a playground there and a stream as well, so great for kids! There are 2 trails on site that are pretty easy if you don’t want to leave the site to hike . We loved it. Was able to purchase wood for fire but make sure you get your wood ASAP bc it was gone by mid day.

So Much To do!!!
This is a terrific campground with so much to do in the immediate area: hiking, biking, wineries, breweries, apple picking, restaurants!!! We were at the campground from Thursday - Saturday...level gravel sites...wide open, no privacy, but nice spots and roomy. the brewpub is under strict self imposed COVID restrictions; the hostess started to send us away because we did not have reservations.....Another couple approached without reservations and the hostess started telling them they could be admitted at the outdoor bar or inside. She then turned to us and asked if we wanted to be seated too as she had availability. (?!) We had one pint each then placed an order to take 2 different variety packs back with us. We were told they were sold out. (What?! On a Thursday night?) Visiting other breweries and distilleries in the area, all had COVID precautions in place, but did not try to send patrons away. I did not have a positive experience at the brewpub.....therefore 3 stars.....

Hot Showers and a Brewpub !
Great camp, great location, located on VA 151 SW of Charlottesville. Campground offers tent sites to full hookup/pull thru and all in between. You might meet an Appalachian Trail hiker wanting a flat land respit, down from the Backbone, or a Blue Ridge traveler unwinding. There's a brew pub (with tours), distillery, smokers den and a great restaurant on the campus. It also hosts a fall bluegrass festival in normal times, and brings in other local breweries (6+) for sampling. Route 151 is a mecca for vinyards, distilleries and breweries. Explore! Reservations via Reserve America I believe, check in at the brewpub.
