Great Spot!

We got here around four in the afternoon and the spots at the entrance only have 120 AC plugs, water and dump. For 30 amps you have to go past the bleachers, but the water was turned off. I filled up at the entrance and connected at bleachers

Awesome Playground & a Splash Pad

Great place to boondocks with the family. Kids had a great time. We found a nice grassy & shady spot by the play area. When we called to get permission to camp they told us not to connect to the hook-ups three times. There were about 10 campers mostly Rvs but a couple tent campers too. Lots of room for more. Grassy areas had a lot of ruts so I'm sure it gets muddy when it rains. Bathrooms at play area close at sundown. 24 hr bathrooms across the park by the corrals.

Stowell Fairground

Nice and quiet stay for the night. Call 409-267-2644 to stay the night. They will request a photo of your driver's license and a photo of your vehicle license to be sent to a .gov email address. I stayed because there was one other RV here when I pulled up. I would not have stayed if I was the only one here.

Free Place To Stay

Great place. Three nights only. Perfect stop over for the long Texas roads. The Gulf is about 17 miles away. Perfect for boondocking. There is an open bathroom on site. Just a slight walk. Friendly people but it is a fairground so some through traffic is expected.

Nice Free Stay Just Off I-10

At a fairgeounds, you need to check in at the city for your permit. We arrived at night, so we will follow up in the AM. Lots of room for large rigs. We have a 40 5th wheel. Saw about 10 other RVs on the grass acattered over about 20 acres. No frills, but way better then a truck stop or Wallyworld. Slides are out, enjoying a glass of wine.
