Updated Information
The park is actually in Anahuac so use the address above but city Anahuac. Exit 818, Turtle Bayou off I 10. Phone number now is 4092672718. They do shut off the electricity when not open for fairs but we found site 17 was still connected. Great place for an overnight

Great Find
Wow, this is a great place that's FREE with water and electric hookups in a park like setting. I was basically the only one there. I had to drive around some before I found the sites with hookups near the fairground buildings. I pulled up under a big shade tree and just hooked up. The only bathroom was pretty gross, it's free. No signage really. I checked in one of the buildings and was given a number to call. Nice gal answered. You email a pic of your DL and tell her how many days you want to stay. She email's you a permit within a few minutes. Close to everything and in a big park like setting.

Clean And Empty
Very quiet peaceful park. It took me an hour to find an electrical hook up that worked. Was the last one. Only 1 electrical hookup with juice. All water hookups work. Overall was a great place. No trash collection so have to keep trash in camper. Free camping for up to 3 days.

A hidden treat. We got 1 of the2 out of 20 electrical outlets that worked. Bathrooms, pretty scaggy. But, you get what you pay 4.
Attempted to call the associated phone number. Got, this number is no longer in service. I'll write an addendum in the morning if a problem.
Bring bug repellent !!. However we were excited about the AQI=30?
We were happy to find.

Nice Park
We parked in the parking lot. No one else was here. It was fine for boondocking overnight. The previous comment mentioned electricity, we did not see those sites. But all around the parking lot (which was paved) was very wet ground. Would never go off the pavement. Would stay overnight again if heading this way.

We called the office and got a permit for 3 nights, they just want to know who’s there. They let me plug in 30amp ( 15 & 50 available), water AND sewer completely free of cost! Nice large grassy area directly off of I-10!
