Winter Stay
Sand spurs were really bad especially pets, bathrooms needed work, close to the beach, workers at the front desk could be more helpful, luckily our neighbors at the parking lot we stayed at were very nice and helpful. There is an additional electric charge if staying at least a month and required a $100 deposit. It was minimal and the $75 over charge is returned 4 weeks later. The bird sanctuary is a must, the turtle farm is very small, bars are many with nightly music, space X 40 minute drive.

No complaints from me. Full hook up. We had a lot of room. On site. No picnic table maybe if you ask most sites had one. Blacktop so no problem with Sand spurs. No fire pits so only four stars. $ 350.00 weekly

Great location, needs work
Get a spot with a concrete patio... the grass is full of burrs. Decent place, huge park with beach access. Verizon and boost hotspots work best here. I spent Feb and March 2020 here and it was worth the price of admission.

Ok I Guess
This is a County Park, so if you have a problem with refunds, go to the County Commissioners.

A Good Place To Stay
If you pick your spot online carefully you will find that you get a huge amount of room. The bathrooms and showers were ok (not nearly as bad as people make out, and we were here over the 4th of July) the only real problem with them is that they are extremely humid. This is a much better location than the KOA across the road and if you pick a premium spot, it is not only cheaper but you will have an honest 4 times the space.

Retired Firefighter
I had to cancel my reservation for my stay in January. I had two spots and had paid $1000.00 to reserve my spots. I canceled well in advance of my reservation due to medical reasons. They told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks for my refund of $900.00 to arrive. Every month I call and told each time it would be 2 to 3 weeks more. It's been well over 5 months and was told again this morning 2 to 3 more weeks. Management will not respond to my emails.

Great Location but park needs attention
Close to the beach. Great access to the town if you bike or use the free shuttle bus service which is fantastic. The park needs attention. Washrooms need cleaning and maintenance. Some sites have a pad, some are on gravel. Sand spurs are awful. We were not told about the construction when we booked. Work doesn't disturb us, because nothing is going on. No laundry on site. We will not return except for a few days. Park is quiet.

Be aware that unlike most parks try require a three day cancellation notice or you loose the full cost of your stay!

the park is under construction and overcrowded... the rv park is just pretty much a parking lot next to the beach...

Beach is great, park not so much
Restrooms definitely need attention/upgrade. Tent space is not shaded, plan to spend the whole day away from the tent site. Twice I was here on a Saturday, people arrived past midnight to set up their tent while playing music. Police INSIDE the RV park is lurking to give you a ticket for ridiculous reasons. For a tent, $25 per day on the weekends.

Great Location
Great location, within 100 yards of the beach or fishing. Quiet, at least in September. No need for reservations at this time of year. Utilities worked well and we had a nice concrete pad for setting up enclosure. Ants were very bad and many sand spurs in the grass. Bathrooms were clean, but need updating.

Thorns!!!
Basically a Parking lot but if you are lucky you get a spot with grass. Not so lucky when you find out the grass is full of thorns! Have to pay your electricity at the end of your stay.

Excellent proximity to Beach
Nice people, quiet stay, and park is next to the beach. Walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Rode our bikes to further parts of the island.

Great location. I think the restrooms should be reserved a bit more for the overnight RV customers. At least the ones by the RV parking area.

Bathrooms Need A Little TLC
Nice location with good amenities. Beach is public access and does get crowded with non-campers. This can make the bathrooms/showers crowded (and dirty).
