Highly recommended
This is a beautiful campgrounds tucked into quiet settings. We had a LOT go wrong on this vacation, and the owners and staff were very accomodating and caring. Thank you!!

We’re new to RV parks- this was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed for 10 nights. The park was quiet and the facilities were clean. We’ll be back.

Beautiful Park
Everything we needed for a nice stay. Beautiful views and great facilities. It wasn’t a problem for us but the office is only open from about 10-4 and for people out seeing the sites almost impossible to be there at that time but we ended up just taking care of payment over the phone, we never even met the front line staff. Not sure if the hours were just because of COVID? Laundry room was one of the nicest I’ve used.

Hypocrites
Absolutely beautiful park. Beautiful views. Perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains.
However if you’re not a “favorite” they do harass you. We had kids that were picked on regularly and told to go home constantly, while other children ran wild and even put a dent on a vehicle.
If you’re a “favorite” you can disregard all the rules. If you’re a “nobody” it’s like being in a prison. They watch you and make your stay uncomfortable.
We were they for several months and never even received our Good Sam discount.
This is all regrettable because it is a nice park and the majority of the staff is excellent. The owners however are power hungry and show favoritism.

Would Come Back!
One Nighter with a 18' tear drop trailer. Charming place in its own little valley. Very nice Pool showers and private bathrooms are super clean. Site was perfectly level.....had many nice conversations with other campers. Talked with owners at pool they were nice too.
One Texas pipe line worker gave me the death stare when I said hello to him at 6am. Perhaps he didn't care for my 4 year olds voice and volume thr evening before as he was trying to get to sleep for work the next morning.

We stayed at Whispering River for 3 nights. The more we looked, the more we found. A very pleasant surprise. Friendly people, clean grounds and bath house. Beautiful piece of property. Perfect for people who don't like the crowds of city camping. We will be back.

Hidden Gem
Very nice campground with the best restrooms we have ever seen in a campground. We will be returning soon.

Favorite Place
We recently purchased our first camper and whispering river was our first camping spot. Our kids, who had never camped before absolutely love it. We love that we have pool and river access. Super clean showers which is huge for me with OCD.... Wish there were more private spots for campers but, with everything else this place offers I can deal with looking at my neighbors. We’ll definitely be here often.

Quiet & Clean
Stayed three days in our 32' TT.
FHU, cable, Wi-Fi sporadic. Staff very friendly. The Little River runs nearby and the sounds of frogs fill the night. Peaceful, quiet and a great base for us to explore Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & the Smokies.
Bath House/Restrooms
5 hooks out 5 hooks
Individual private restrooms
with showers. Very Clean.
Laundry $2 wash/$1.50 dry
Would stay again if in the area

Whispering River
Nice park, clean. Could use some trees, very little shade. Spaces are long and easy to navigate, gravel. DIRECTV and wifi, but didn't use it. The laundry, bathrooms, and showers were well kept. We were in a motor home.

Love This Campground
A little outside of busy Townsend but we liked it best as it is quiet and campground is clean and very well equipped. Bath house was great and centrally located and pool is very nice too. We have 40 ft motor coach and we could easily get into our site. Access to river and pet friendly!
