Sun Outdoors

This is a Sun Outdoors property for some time. Large and spread out. The entrance needs work as hard to fight traffic from a busy highway. Showers and bathrooms were good. Would be better with a bench in the shower area. Dog park is good. Pool is good. Lazy river is small. No site pickup for trash but dumpsters by the dog park. Garbage is picked up from there very early on Friday. Wakes a person up. Site numbers are hard to see as you have to find your own site when you show up. No one takes you there. You end up driving up and down to find the right location. They only have the site number on the electrical panel facing One Direction.

Stayed at back end of December, the pool was heated you can see the steam rolling off. Nice dog park, I would recommend gates have self closing. Park is clean. Staff super nice. I will be back.

Not too impressed$$$

Charged $25 for an end spot and the park seemed half full, they said the pool would be heated and it was not😢 very clean park and nice people might go back.

They have changed their name used to be River plantation RV. They have changed their name to Sun RV Resort

Great Family RV Park!

We just spent 4 nights here and it was great. Lots of stuff for our kids to do, friendly workers, clean common grounds. Will definitely come back!

Wonderful. Will Come Back.

Great campground with a lot of amenities. Dog wash, dog park, strict low speed limit, helpful and warm staff in registration office, some camping supplies (we needed a sewer elbow and they had several), RV wash, fire rings, picnic tables, etc. They’re currently redoing all riverfront lots to make them full concrete pads. I’d like to see a spigot in the dog park area for dog drinking water, and would’ve loved a pad-side grill. Also, the paperwork says no outside firewood and the firewood sold in office was green/didn’t burn. Still 5 stars though.

Great Campground!

My family and I went for a week. We were lucky enough to stay during a vintage camper show. The campground is clean and the facilities are in very good shape. Bath house clean and staff is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. Overall, it was a great experience for my family and I and we made new friends and will be back very soon. Highly recommend.

Wonderful

Stayed here the last 2 nights of our around the county 12,000 mile trip. This was one of the better ones and the rv park was a great ending of a great trip. Clean, professional and well done amenities. Will stay here again!

One of our favorite places to camp in the Pigeon Forge area. Pools are great with shady areas to relax at. Bathrooms are always very clean with AC. Sites are level with small trees and grassy area. They do have some skunks that hang out there. Every night we would see a couple around our campsite.

Loved River Plantation

We loved our trip to river plantation. We went in March and stayed on the river.

We have stayed at RPRVP since 2005. This is our favorite place to go. We love the campground and the staff. The location is perfect, close to all of the area attractions without being right in the thick of things. We have recommended it to many of our camping friends.

This place was great. We loved the two pools and the showers at the pool area are lined with cedar. Beautiful landscape with willows and even a water fall on the river. Outdoor flat screen tv and gas fire ring at the rec center. We will be returning here.

Soft Site

Nice park but could not use jacks to level coach on site due to too thin a base. Left 3 holes about a foot deep in the ground from the 3 times I tried to level and moved after failing, and when we pulled out you could see it only had 2-3in of fine crushed stone on dirt. Even tires were sinking in almost to dirt. Site was level and air level did work but IMHO it is bad to not put enough base (or any base) under the fine gravel.

Well done facilities, plenty of amenities for everyone. Spacious parking areas. Excellent staff and customer services.

Professionally Run Park

This is a professionally run park, good pool, large modern office, doggy wash, right in town, but you would never know it. Close to anything you need. Would stay again!

Pool and lazy river weren't open yet but looked great. They have a pull through camper wash. An ice cream truck made daily rounds! We had a concrete patio with a picnic table which was nice. Never got the cable to work but didn't ask about it either. Large campground.

This is a very nice resort. Lazy river, professional staff. Very clean bath/shower house. Busy spot, make reservations.
