Overnight Stay
We made a reservation over the phone about an hour before we stopped. Park was a little ways off the highway. Very nice people. We were escorted to a gravel spot that was a little short on gravel. We could not quite level our coach, but it was level enough for one night. We would stay again if we needed to.

Easy access, escorted to site. Middle area… only view is campers on top of campers. Small narrow sites in pull through. Neighbors too close. Our neighbors fire pit was below our bedroom windows. we could hear everything they were saying due to being so close. Great showers and bathroom. Dog park is just a fenced area. Good other areas to walk the dog though. Staff friendly! They pick up your trash at your site twice a day. Very clean campground! Beautiful mountains..but you can’t see them due to so many campers packed in

Fine Campground
We stayed for two nights and it worked fine. We were a little apprehensive about our GPS directions as we turned into a nice residential neighborhood but then saw a small “camping” sign that pointed down the road.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR TIME OR MONE
I am very very disappointed in this campground! They are miss leading and discriminating! I looked online at the campground website and it looked great. The pictures and reviews were awesome. But AFTER I BOOKED MY STAY ONLINE, the email confirmation came through stating that they do not allow pit bulls or mixes. I went back ans checked their website and found in small print under policies that they do not allow the pit bull breed or mixes. This should be clearly stated in bold letters on their home page so paying customer's can see it prior to booking!. They also have in the fine print that was again not shown until the confirmation email came through is that the campground has a refund policy that states the customer is granted a full refund minus 10%. So...... I booked online then the very next morning called to get a refund and was subject to a 10% non refunded fee all because they are discriminating against my 7year daughters best friend! I will make sure the community of RVer that

Not Bad
We stayed at this campground for a little R&R for 6 nights and I have to say, it’s been nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We did have an issue with one of the breakers in the electric box outside that you plug into and they fixed right away. The campground is neseltted between Racoon Mountain and Lookout Mountain. The sites are rather on top of each other but we’ve had no issues with neighbors or anything like that. It’s pretty quiet overall other than the maintenance guys are rather busy doing things all day so they do come by a lot on the golf carts if you are staying at the sites near the office. The pool area rather nice as we have swam in the pool each day being here. They have nice bathhouses with nice showers and a fairly decent laundry area at the bathhouse. $2.50 per load. Would definitely recommend and be back soon.

Campground Was Ok
The campground was just “ok”. The staff was friendly and my kids loved the little stores. There’s a pool and a dog park. The cavern is the best thing about the campground. Now that we’ve seen that (great tour), we won’t be back.

We had to book this campground last minute due to a change in our Baseball Tournament schedule and the campground has been very accommodating every step of the way. Beautiful Mountain View’s, quiet, peaceful and clean accommodations. Pool was great for the kids, restrooms perfect for our needs and yes, when it rains it was muddy as others said; but you are in the mountains, isn’t that expected when it rains? We even had to change sites due to the last minute booking and since we had to leave early for a game and couldn’t wait for our new site to be unoccupied they placed us in a Temporary location so we can have AC for our dog. I was extremely grateful and very appreciative for their hospitality! Thank you Raccoon Mountain for a great stay, if we are ever up in this area again you can count we will be back! When you stay there; definitely take the time to see the caverns- they were amazing!

Expensive, Muddy, Smokey, Loose Pets
If you don’t mind paying $60 a night with a 2 night minimum to get a sloping spot that doesn’t have enough gravel because the leaky water spigot has washed red mud over it and you like smoke filled air and peoples little nippy dogs running loose everywhere this is the place for you. Not exaggerating, everything got muddy here and it wasn’t even raining out, my steps, floors etc still have red mud on them.

Great Place To Stay
Stayed for 2 nights. Due to a recent cold snap, half of the park was unable to get water due to the lines freezing. Lots of construction because they’re adding new sites, which is beneficial for future campers. No outside firewood allowed, so we paid $10 for 2 bundles. We got about 8 pieces of wet wood that was more like kindling. Gem stone panning and hiking trails on site. Very close to downtown Chattanooga. If you stay check out Raccoon Mountain, Lookout Mountain and Rock City (located atop Lookout Mountain). Will absolutely be returning here and dedicating more than just 2 days. Park is pet-friendly and has a small dog park within campground limit.

We stopped here for one night. Friendly young ladies at the office. Unfortunately it rained overnight and our particular spot was a muddy mess the next morning....our steps happened to be in a particularly muddy spot. That wasn’t fabulous. However, I wish we had more time to spend here to see the caves. This will be on our list to come back and visit with more time.

Great Place To Stay
Wife and I stayed a week there this past October. The people there were great, plenty of room, good location for things to see in and around Chattanooga. Great view of Signal Mountain and Covenant College. Would definitely go back again.

Camping For Fun!
Great park! We will recommend Raccoon Mountain to everyone we know that has a camper. The staff was great (cigar smokers for sure)..?????. The one thing I would encourage, especially for the price you pay, would be to upgrade the sites; they are a little outdated. Other then that, it's a great place to camp.

After lights out the Raccoons WILL come out to play in your camp site. Other than that this place is awesome. Kind of strange driving in a subdivision Then bam Camp Ground. Very Clean, Nice Staff, close to Lookout mountain, Ruby Falls, incline railway, and much much more.

Very pleasant
Really nice place to stay. We were only there one night & wanted to stay another. We came in after hours & the staff was super helpful in getting us to our spot. The fire pit had its own grate to grill on & the view of the mountains in the morning with coffee was breathtaking! Very clean grounds. We did not utilize the facilities, but they looked well maintained. Nice dog run/parkish area too!

Loved The Caves
Highly recommend if you’re physically able to do the cave climbing crawling tour. It was awesome! Decent size spots, but the one we were in was not very level. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice laundry room that takes credit cards. Was able to get an Uber to downtown Chattanooga and back. Not far from the Walmart in a few restaurants.

Spelunkin’ Fun
This campground is all about the caves and I guess climbing too. If you are slender, exploring this cave system can be an experience of a lifetime. We had an awesome new guide who dared to divert a little from our route. I’ve not seen it advertised, but they should mention the acoustic features in a few rooms. There’s a large, rounded echo chamber and in a nearby hallway you can use rocks on these thin formations and play notes. Someone needs to record down there. The RV spot was fine, it’s a 15min Lyft ride to pinball and the pool gets a lot of sun. Would return.

Great Staff Tight Spots
Staff was awesome but the sites are tight and I could see how it could get very crowded. The cave that joins the property is expensive to go through. though it is a neat cave to walk through

Great Place
The people are very nice and helpful. We stayed two extra days. Perfect place to see the lookout mountain, Chickamauga and downtown. There is a cavern right here which is great. Take your tour on a hot afternoon. I am not a high rating person but this is a very nice place.

Improvements Could Be Made
My biggest complaint is with the bathhouse, they made the shower stall with a step-up and if your over 5'6" you have to duck to get under the shower head.

This campground was great. Peaceful and quiet and the staff was fantastic. The sights are a little close together but that was my inlet complaint. Full hookup site with great WiFi and cable. Couldn’t get the cable to work and maintenance guy came right out and helped me figure it out. Problem was on my end with my TV and he stayed till it was working. Had to trade trucks while in Chattanooga and told them I would need to check out late because I was figuring out brake controller hookup, they offered to have a maintenance man come over to try and help. Didn’t do their cave tour but the place is 10 minutes from Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain. We will be back!

Good Enough Site Great Cable
Sites are a bit close no very close. When it fills up it will feel crowded. Nice friendly checkin. Love that they escort you to your site. Almost level travel site with full hook up. Premium site but truly not that large. But wifi great and loads of cable channels. View of mountains is nice. Pool looks inviting. Trash picked up daily but our site had trash in firepit and on the grounds which I picked up. Come on campers "pick up your trash and dont throw it in the fire pit." Close to downtown Chattanooga.

Nice Campground
We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the walking cave tour. The campground is very well run and cared for. Pull through sites with all the amenities. WIFI exceeded any we've found elsewhere! Staff was helpful, including and escort to our site. Pool was busy with families at play. Truly southern hospitality.

Was very nice. Beautiful location and nice staff. Was only passing through on the way to Disney but we stopped in time for the family to take a cave tour which is right in the park. Already including this park in our next trip down in 2019.

We stayed here for 4 days and loved it. Not far from downtown but it doesn’t feel that way. Surrounded by lush green mountains and very friendly and helpful staff. Our firewood we bought however was terrible. $10.00 for 10 pieces of wet wood that wouldn’t burn. But love the campground and will definitely return.

Love It!
Beautiful camp ground & nice people. If you get a chance, do the cave tour. Not the walking tour, but the put-on-a-helmet-get-ready-to-crawl-squeeze-get-dirty tour. Our 9 year old girls loved it & we had a blast. Ashley was an excellent guide!

Issues
Campsite was fine. My issue is with the red/brown water. Water made me sick. I bought water to use for everything at the trailer. In the office there were 2 cats. You can't even check in without the cats being in your face. I won't be back.
