Canadian's On Bikes
Just spent 3 nights at Elk Ridge. June 16/17/18. We had travelled from Ontario, Canada and had found this place on a website. We were not disappointed. Lovely quiet little campground out of the hustle and bustle of Custer but close enough to do all of the good roads. When we arrived we toured around the campsite to pick out our spot. We camped on site #9 up top in the tent area. Great site - right next to the bathroom and water and it was a huge site with a flat grassy area to pitch our tent. The hosts are very friendly and do a wonderful job keeping the campground clean. This campground has flush toilets but no showers. The only thing I would suggest is bins for toilet paper as the toilets don't have alot of flush power and clog easily.
Overall great campground. Saw buffalo every day close to the campground. Will definitely be back. Met so many nice people as well.
Fees are paid by self pay with a visa card.
Ooops my pics seem to have uploaded upside down !!

Scenic
Wide spots to pull off road with picnic table & fire ring. Beautiful setting. Saw a buffalo about 400 yards from campsite...no fences!

Very quiet and tucked away and were able to access the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Black hills. Would come back again. We have a 20ft Mini Lite which fit in perfectly.

Quiet Campground
All the sites for RVs basically consist of a widening of the road with gravel. Only a few sites will handle those with slide outs (without sticking out into the road). There is so little traffic it works.

Lovely, Spacious And Clean
Spent a quiet, peaceful night in this very spacious and clean park. Beautiful bird songs and very close to Wind Cave.

Great Spot
Nice location with camp host. Clean bathrooms with plumbing. Nice, spaced out tent sites. We would come back.
