No Overnight Parking
I pulled in today only to find numerous signs stating “No Overnight Parking”. I was pretty disappointed, but found an acceptable and allowed parking spat at WalMart.
I couldn’t understand why Cabelas would discontinue such a nice area. Heck, they had multiple designated spaces, a dump station and even dog kennels.
In my seek to understand I went to their website and emailed the General Manager, who literally responded in minutes after I sent my email.
There are multiple reasons, #1 This area is planned to be developed. #2 They had experienced security issues apparently with some overnight campers 😠, and #3 they had been sued by someone that was apparently injured in the overnight camping area.
First Thank You to the General Manager for his prompt response, and to those out there… Lets all play nice, be respectful of these free spaces or we will lose them like we did in Mitchell.
By the way if you travelling west on I90, the Billings Cabelas stiil welcomes overnight parking.

Stayed A Night
Nice Cabela’s! Clean, large lot. We rolled in late and there was already a camper so we parked near them. It wasn’t a designated spot, but well lit and never had an issue.

Great Place
It’s a great place to stay. Places to eat within walking distance. The first time we stopped we went in to make sure it was ok. The person we talked to no problem, just don’t put your slides out or run a generator. No problem for us but it must be for some people. Slides out and generators. Pretty soon they will just say no more overnight parking. Some ruin it for all.

It Should Have Been Great.
Stayed here and it should have been a great place, but somebody had about 8 dogs in the dog park and they were SO LOUD. I'm sure it would have been great otherwise.

RV wash next door
Had a good night here. We came in late so we didnt see where the RV parking area was until the am. It it by the Holiday Inn Express side. It has water, dump site and a dog park. Right next door you will find a great car wash for cars, trucks, RVs, and pets.

All Right.
First there is a ton of construction to get there. Second the fresh water hook up is down, so no water, and third they no longer off free dump with purchase, you have to pay $5. We did not stay.

Nice Spot
We were really trying to make it to a truck spot in Sioux Falls but barely made it to Cabelas due to how tired we were. I didn’t want to stop at Cabelas because I always feel uncertain about whether or not we are really allowed to stay at certain businesses...but Cabelas is definitely a spot you can stay!! A lot of RV’s were already parked there. They have signs set up to show you where to park and they do have a dump station! I was very impressed. Plus our battery box lid had blown off on our drive over there due to a storm and Cabelas had a replacement!! And there is a nice big grassy area for kids to run around with a pond. 5 stars from me. :)

Restful
Same as previous review, was going to stay at Walmart but Cabela’s was a way better option! Quiet & level and plenty of room. There is a pond my kids fed the fish in the morning. Also a picnic shelter too. Manager was so nice and welcoming.

Perfect Spot For An Overnight Stay!
We thought it would be a night at Walmart again, until we pulled up to Cabela’s. Overnight area for Rv’s, dump station and water. Definitely better then expected!!

Nice parking for RVs. Much quieter and smells better(no exhaust from semi's).
