Crazy
Tight sites. Garbage everywhere. Kids on golf carts screaming blasting music driving fast . Can’t even walk around because of all the crazy golf carts driving all over the place. Go anywhere else.

Not Our Type Of Place But Clean
Extremely tight and very crowded. However, it has very clean and plentitude of facilities. Food at snack bar was good for campground. Expedited entry upon arrival when we pre-booked. Excellent place for family or someone looking to stay directly on the beach. Not our scene, but nice place

Way Too Big And Crowded
Super tight spaces, unbelievably crowded in the summer, and teenagers driving golf carts EVERYWHERE. Spots are super tight and if someone leaves anything hanging a little in the access road, forget it. Sewer hook up is also about 6 inches above the ground, which meant I had to try to route my drain hose UPHILL. And I hate the nightly golf cart traffic jams with people “cruising” and fireworks randomly until 11:00, which you find all over the beach the next morning. Sure it’s on the beach and the water park is amazing for the kids but it’s way too red neck spring break for me to enjoy.

Not For Me!

$49
Tight spots but close to the beach
Paid $49 per night for 3 nights. Stayed in site 2096 which is in the far corner near the beach. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer) Surprisingly check-in was quick and easy for being such a big place. This campground is enormous. Probably the biggest we've ever stayed at.
It was a bit tricky finding our site but once we did we parked fairly easily. The access roads are narrow but we were still able to park our 5th wheel without too much trouble. The concrete pad was level.
The sewer connection is raised up pretty high off the ground. Walking around the campground it seems like most sites have a tall connector. Ours ended up being about a foot in the air which required a bit of work to get our hose to drain down (you know... gravity is important) and we still ended up "walking the dog" to empty the hose.
Cell service (both Verizon and AT&T) were crazy fast.

Halloweekend
Spent 2 nights during Halloweekend with our nephew. Park has everything you need. Very busy, carts didn’t bother us at all. Lots of activities for kids and families. Stayed on dirt site, full hook up. Sewer hook up was a challenge, bit of a drainage issue for older travel trailers that are lower to the ground. Sites are definitely tight.
Still booked again for next year before we left, so issues are not enough to keep us from coming back.

Had a reservation for 9/24/2018. Because of Hurricane Florence we decided not to try the 250mi Trip because of road flooding. That did not stop the insensitive park associate from charging one night cancellation fee because it was less than 14 days. After 40 years staying there we won’t be back.

Golf Cart Convention
We stayed three nights and hated every one of them. It's a parking lot, seriously go the the largest rv dealer you can find and now spend the weekend. Oh and add two golf carts for each RV put a fifteen year old kid and their six friends in each one driving aimlessly all around in a parade of stupid.

Worst WiFi and tv connections I have ever seen! Never can ever get any channels from the cable and if you do there so snowy you can’t stand to watch! And WiFi gos in and out or you can’t never connect! Will be pulling my camper from storage and trying different campground! So frustrated!

Enjoyable & Relaxing
Just got back from Ocean Lakes (my first stay). My wife has been there before but never this time of year. I truly enjoy my stay even tho most of the pools and entertainment has shut down for the season. We were able to relax without a bunch of noise. We'll definitely be staying again in the future.

A Great Place for Kids
We purchased our spot online. They sent everything in the mail. We got there after hours of traveling and we were very tired. All we had to do apon arrival was show our truck pass and came in. Didn't even need to go in the next day. As soon as we got though the gate. I blew a tire on my truck. Security came to help us and directed traffic till AAA could come to fix the tire. Ocean Lakes took our camper to our spot and set it up for us. Lots here for kids to do and close to the beach.
Issues: spots are close together, our spot had cigarette butts everywhere, not much shade, slides at the water park are only open on the weekends, and dogs were everywhere. Dogs are OK and I don't have an issue with them but when you get woken up early in the morning by them it's annoying. Just wish owners would do a better job of taking care of their pets. But we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Just Got Here And....WOW
Feels like your entering Seaworld when you arrive. 200,000 campsites I hear? Check in wasn't that bad but soon realized there are 800 homesites as well. The lady at the front desk was funny. She handed me a map of the place that looked like an Ancient scroll... huge! She circled my site and basically told me good luck finding it. Hear I'm in a 42' class A pulling a vehicle and no one to help me navigate through the 10,000 screaming 12 yr olds on golf carts or through the low lying tree limbs that look liked a jungle of the movie Lion King. After several missed turns I'm finally maneuvered my rig down a road that looked like the back alley of beer pub in NY city. Almost clipped a 5th wheel and two elderly people sitting half way in the road. Except for the bag of trash, cig butts and peanut wrappers on the ground the site was fairly clean. Feel like I'm in a refugee camp somewhere. Time will tell. Stay tuned for my update later. Later, after I'm calmed down a bit.

Loved It
First time staying here and we loved it. Had a split stay between Pirateland and here. Way better experience here. Sites are a nice size and hookups are easy. You can bring your own golf cart instead of being forced to rent one. Pool was great; lots of options. Bath houses were clean. Check in took a bit but when we pulled in we were directed right to our site and told to come back to the office to register (which was much appreciated because there was a long line). We already booked our trip for next year. Great spot.

G.M.T.F.O.H!!!
Shortest stay in camping history. First, we went in through the wrong gate and had to be routed to the main gate. We get to the main gate and check in. There are golf carts EVERYWHERE being driven by children that clearly aren't old enough. After taking 30 minutes to get the 1/2 mile to the site, we find that the campers in the site next to ours have completely bled over onto ours and taken it over. No room to put our MC trailer and not allowed to ride the bikes on the premises. I called the office back and told them about our site and just asked if we could get a refund. Took another 30 minutes to get back to the gate because of all the golf carts again. I have NEVER wanted to get out of somewhere that badly in my life!! Also, I wouldn't plan on any sleep because it doesn't seem like there is such a thing as "quiet time" at this place. I would NEVER go there again. It doesn't allow for minus stars. Consider the one star rating a minus 5

It is so huge it is like a city. A little run down. The beach is horrible with storm runoff drains everywhere and warning signs. Very loud and busy. Not very pretty. Will not go back.

Spring Vacation
Excellent park with great amenities. We stayed two weeks, late April/early May, which is a great time to visit before huge crowds. Most of the campers were retirees so noise and golf carts are not a problem. Level concrete lot with excellent hook up services and just 150' from Beach. We could open our window at night and hear the ocean waves. Camp store, eatery and RV service center will meet all your needs. Location is between Myrtle Beach with shops, mini golf and attractions and Murrels Inlet which has the best seafood restaurants around. Highly recommend in the off-season.

We've been coming here for a few years now. Summer is quite busy and hectic but it's still a nice place to set up. Everyone is always nice and helpful. Can always meet new friends and hang out with people from all over the US. Water park is a huge draw for those with younger kids. Golf cart is a necessity to get around the resort.

Great First Stay
This is our first time here and so far the staff has been great. Very helpful. The place is clean, the other people camping have been friendly, and the bath house is heated in winter and cooled in the summer timer with music playing in the background.
We will definitely stay here again.

House Rental
I would have given five stars, but we had a very serious situation that involved security or should say the lack of. My wife and I asking with her sister and husband rented one of the rental properties. One evening the group of us were going out for the evening to dine. Before we left me and my wife decided we might should hide my narcotics I was taking for cancer. I placed the medicine in a back pack then placed it on the top shelf in the closet I then placed several baseball caps on top and tucked the straps under it. When we returned I found the Caps sitting to the left of my back pack and the pack straps were hanging. It was very obvious someone with a key came in and ransacked our belongings. I immediately went to security. What a joke that was. Before I left they made me out to be the bad guy. When I tried to describe the two employees that were in the area going into other units prepping for the hurricane they didn't want to hear it. The security officer never took any notes.

It's OK For a Short layover
This is a mega park with around 1000 slots. It is kind of clean (lots of litter) and well managed, but you are crammed in like sardines. Not at all relaxing - kind of like camping in Central Park if that was allowed. Lots of kiddies - it is appealing to families because there's a lot of kid friendly stuff , like the water park that was right behind my campsite, meaning I got to listen to kids screaming all day. So many golf carts running around that you have to have a swivel for a neck so you don't get run down. Small sites and lots of pop up trailers. I watched one guy (thankfully in shorts) take a refreshing shower with soap outside of his pop up. Really cool. Cleaned his privates by putting his hand down his shorts. The plantings were nice - like the tree that was directly in front of my space, making maneuvering my 5th wheel very entertaining.
If you want a relaxing RV experience, avoid this park. If you want to let your crumb crunchers run wild, this is the place for you.

Never AGAIN
Well 3 stars because place was super clean, super organized and beach was amazing. But I'll never go back...way too many golf carts...golf cart rental costs more than the lot and it's so big you pretty much need it. Wasn't allowed to take my motorcycle in. Have to leave at gate. Apparently even though is quieter than a diesel pusher , they don't allow. But it was ok for crazy teenagers to burn full speed in golf carts all over the place...yah, no!
