Beautiful Campground, Helpful Staff
Beautiful campground with walking trails, very nice bath house and clean showers with AC. Large level gravel lots, some with shade. The AC broke in our RV during our travels and we were here in August. Site assigned was in full sun. Staff was very understanding and helped us find an available site with shade so we could be more comfortable. Hope we can stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Place
I had reservations for 6 nights, but got here two days earlier than planned. They were very accommodating and were able to get me in with no warning. The park is very large with a nice lake and a swim park on site. They also have events through out the year at the park.

Good Experience
This is truely a very nice campground, emphasis on campground. It's not a resort.
The facilities are very nice with spacious sites and excellent hookups. (Great water pressure!)
Many amenities inside the park and a short drive to the beach or downtown Charleston.
The road in has huge overhanging trees that were a bit scary in a M.H. with 12'-8" clearance. We heard a few light scrapes on the AC units, but no bangs!! I would not attempt anything over 13'.

Great Park
This park is very big and had a lot of lots with full hook ups. The dog park is huge and well kept as well as open fields and kids parks. The bathrooms and laundry areas are well kept and the store has most of what is needed. Only reason a 4 rating Instead of 5 was the website reservation process was confusing and not up to date. Would be nice if they added a bill to change machine by the laundry machine too. Small issues but overall a great place and we will be returning.

Great camping experience drove down from Rhode Island worth the trip we stayed for a week. Staff was great they have transportation to Charlestons visitors center perfect. Spent a day at Folly’s beach parking was easy $15 for the day.We rented beach chairs and umbrella.I would highly recommend this campground and I thought the price was reasonable $64.00. Great location.

Excellent
You can't go wrong staying at this campground. Most sites have full hookups or dump station is very convenient. Bathrooms updates and clean. Laundry machines were clean. There is also a camp store open 8-8 every day. Be careful of the buddy sites, there are quite a few that put you right next to another camp site. We had #8 that had treas on each side. But the road is right behind, but that wasn't too bad. All the comments about park are true. This is an awesome county park!

Definitely will stay again and we’ll recommend!! Beautiful park, sites are spacious and mostly level. Thank goodness for the trees! Nice and shady site 87. We were there with a heat index of 115*. We didn’t go to the water park but it looked fun! Very convenient to city! Worth 5 stars!

Awesome
Will definitely stay again! 20 minutes from downtown Charleston or Folly Beach.
Spacious sites, shaded. Miles of paved bike/walking paths. Large dog park with beach area for dogs. Pool, splash park, rock climbing, kayak and boat rental. Reminds us of Fort Wilderness at Disney.

Great Park
Very nice park and campground. Stayed 3 nights as a “home base” to travel around Charleston. Clean bathrooms and well maintained sites. Mind the low tree branches on your way in/out (not in the park). Great walking/biking routes as well.

Low Trees
Nice park great staff clean, however and this not there fault but be aware the trees on the roads to get there have low tree limbs. My RV is 12 foot 8 tall and still had limb take out my roof top ac and by the looks of the limb I was not the first person to have this problem it had many marks on it from past the county needs to trim there trees to 13’6 if not they need to mark them.

Nice Park
Nice park but spots are too close together. It is expensive for a government owned park. Bathrooms are updated and clean.

What a beautiful park. It may a bit pricey but worth it. Nice large sites and you aren’t on top of each other. Tons of trees for shade. We have two dogs and they had great places to walk them along with a dog park. Good location to Charleston. We were in an Rv with no tow so we used Lyft to get into town. Took about 20 minutes. We were only there for 2 nights next time we would stay longer.

Not Ok, Location is Only +
This is the most expensive government (not private) campground I've ever stayed at. Given the price and the website overview of the onsite county park I was expecting wonderful in the cg. On arrival space was not available as many locals use the cg and stay until they have to leave. Water main broke outside the park, but supplies the cg. No water for many hours. No one could verify that the water quality was checked so I stayed 2 days wo fresh water availability. Thankfully I ALWAYS travel with full tanks jic. Hook ups were at the far back of the space I rented. Ok for 50 foot electric cord, but unable to use sewer connection? Plus it smelled horrible around the connector. Previous campers may have just spilled due to lack of hose required for proper connection.Untrimmed Dead tree branches fell on rv during afternoon rain.
I brought all of this to the attention of the local cg staff and all I received is a "we're sorry".I contacted the county park and hopefully I'll receive a refund

$64
64 Bucks Per Night.
The park and the staff is great but you would have to pay for it big time. This is by far the most expensive county park in 14 states we travelled through. Amenities are plentiful, bathhouses are renovated better than my condo and airconditioned. But the bill is $64.06 per night for the full hookup site. We stayed in no sewer hookup county Parks under $15 and were quite happy. There is no budget alternative around Charleston. Sad!

Great campground
Level spacious site (#63), close to store, excellent water pressure, shaded site. Beautiful dog park, walking trails & we were able to see the Festival of Lights (awesome).
Only negatives lots of sand in the rig, dryer was not up to par. Had to run twice.

Customer No-Service
They only take reservations by phone, which they don't bother to answer. Booked KOA online while sitting on hold for FORTY MINUTES!

Good Campground
This is a really good campground that offers a lot. Its a bit pricey and the sites are bit close. The dog park is awesome and the best I've been too. The staff is nice for the most part. Located close to Charleston.

Just Ok
Shaded spots with room and nice bike path. Laundry is outdoors and you have to scrape off the bugs to put your laundry in and the dryers didn't work. Big dog park (watch for alligator ) with pretty brackish water pond and not fully fenced. Bathrooms old and not so clean. Middle of September and the holiday lights are up. Expensive for no pool.

Wonderful Park And Campground
Very nice... loved it. Big, level, well separated sites. Apparently there is a very large light display at the park during the Christmas holiday season. They stop turning on the lights around New Year... the displays were still up when we were there but, since it was about a week after New Years, they were not being lit at night. It looked like it would be fabulous.

Very Good
Nice sites, clean bathrooms, friendly people. Male your reservations early because this place will fill up. Plan a day in your vacation to just spend at the park. Great trails and tons to do. Bring your bikes with you or rent some. Also, the climbing wall is awesome.

Very quiet. Great amenities. A water park, BIG playground, paddle boats, and great paved walking/biking trails. Only about 10-15 minutes to Charleston. Less than 20 minutes to Folly beach. We would definitely stay again
