Rough Roads
The road system needs to be updated, especially for diesel pushers kicks up way too much dust. No real place to walk dogs

Well, we’re back . This is one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed at . The spots are roomy, and not on top of each other. We are in A2 overlooking the lake. Again we were led to the spot , and after backing in we didn’t have to level the trailer as it was perfect. Employees are friendly, and attentive. As I posted last year, we’ll be back.

First time camping in 30 years, this was the right place ! Registration easy, had a packet for us, and someone waiting to lead us to our spot, and help us back in. When we parked, he noticed a damp spot on ground at the left side of the trailer, and immediately went to get pea stone to cover the spot( it really wasn’t that bad, almost mud, but ok).
Everyone was very pleasant
Quiet, wooded sites.
Always one of their golf carts checking the area, and when we walked to the store to buy firewood, they delivered it.
We will be back !

We’ll be back!!!
This is such a clean, relaxing campsite. Lots of trees, very private. The staff is so nice. It had all the hookups right at your site. They have a store with the extras that you may have forgotten. Fishing, basketball, marked hiking trails, etc. Theirs a cute little town within 10 min with restaurants and a supermarket. Great place. We’ve already booked our next trip!

Great Campground
We had an awesome time this weekend at Bear Den Campground. We didn’t want to leave so we ended up staying one extra night. If you’re looking for a place up in the mountains then this is it. They are located on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The staff was very friendly. A few of them even stopped by to say Hello. Very clean sites and bathhouses were always clean and smelled great. We didn’t get to do all the site seeing we wanted to, so we will definitely be staying here again when we come back.

Awesome!
What an awesome campground. Swimming hiking plenty to do and very clean bathrooms. We stayed in a RV site and never had to leave. The hiking trails were well marked and were beautiful. We have no complaints. Thanks again!

I Don't Understand The Bed Reviews
Today is November 3rd 2019, and I lift bierstein campground this morning at 9.
This campground is clean, the showers are clean as all get out and they keep them clean.
The new management has made numerous upgrades and improvements and continue to do so (this was my third trip this summer and my fifth trip in the last 2 years).
The owner and the staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met. Just this weekend I broke a water hose, at a 90-degree PX elbow.I went to the office to see if they could help me find someone to come fix it, I explain to my problem to the owner mark and he told me to go back to my camper he would send someone around there. Skip the maintenance man showed up about 10 minutes later, he had the parts and he solved my problem he fixed it for free!! If I had called an RV repairman it would have cost me at least $100 for them just to come out. They would not let me pay them. Now friend and neighbors that's customer service, I'll be back. :-)

Great campground. Beautiful atmosphere. Very well maintained. Lots of trails to hike.Close to activities. We stayed in a travel trailer and our site was very spacious. Looks like a nice place for tent camping. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff was super helpful and nice.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There were hiking trails and many other activities, as well as being immediately off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The facilities are very nice and being updated as I write. I pulled in for one night but staying a second. Love the atmosphere of this place. Priced reasonably, too.

We have camped at Bear-Den for over 20 years. Since new ownership the area has gone downhill bad. Many sites washout during heavy rains. Power outages regular. Take a drive thorough the park and notice the many dead trees and limbs that hang over 90% of the sites. Dead limbs are dangerous and they will not do anything about the problem. We will not be back. Less than 1 star.

Beatiful
Friendly staff, nice accommodations for tent campers. We stayed here because the nearby public campgrounds are first come first serve and we were checking in on Saturday. The ability to reserve our spot sealed the deal. Clean showers and bathrooms. I saw other amenities but we did not use them, including a pool table, pond for swimming or paddling, a general store, and golf cart rentals. We will definitely come back. I did note that our site did not have a pedestal charcoal grill which was no big deal because we pack our trusty weber Q but just be aware of this.
Thanks Bear Den!!

Right off the blue ridge, close to great hiking. Closest town is far away. Bathrooms were clean but outdated. Campsites secluded, you felt like you didn't have neighbors and the staff there is amazing!! Down side... we took a 36 ft toyhauler and it is a trek getting to this campground. Lots of sharp turns and steep inclines so just be aware. Overall great stay!

Paradise In The Woods
Our family has camped all over North and South Carolina. Bear Den is our new favorite campground. Lots of things to do with the kids, and the friendly staff made this a enjoyable trip. Their rates are reasonable and the campsites are clean. We'll be definitely coming back again this year.
