Great Stay

We stayed there from March 2 till July 5, 2020, Glenda and Shorty were great to work with very good people . The campground is conveniently located to everything, especially the beach. Looking forward to staying there again. Mark and Cathy

First Trip

We didn’t want to go too far away from home to try out our first camping trip. Needless to say, we were welcomed like we were family and had all the help and information we needed. The place is clean, from the campgrounds to the pool to the arcade. Very cozy and comfortable and the kids in the campground immediately became best friends.

Ex- Local

Yeah, Barney Fife, lmao... If you encounter the police, you are wrong. Only trouble-makers have this problem. The Winners are friends and value the business and visitors. I plan to stay here when I bring my camper down...

Home away from home

The last review is bogus! Carolina beach is one of the friendliest, open minded places I’ve been in North Carolina, which is notoriously not very friendly or open minded! Glenda and the folks at Winner’s RV park are so polite and kind and knowledgeable of this area, and they have a recycling bin. I’m staying in my 1972 single axle 18’ prowler, right next to a 68 airstream and a 74 dodge camper van, most of the RVs are newer though. I pay $250 a week for 30 amp and sewer which isn’t bad for being two blocks from the water. They are pet friendly and I have my well-trained pitbull staying with me, and almost all of the bars on Carolina Beach are dog friendly. You can drive your truck onto the beach on the north half of the island, and you can drink alcohol on the beach. I’ve been here for 2 weeks, sadly I have to leave, but I will be back and I wouldn’t stay anywhere but Winner’s park! PS there’s no park in Sunset and I haven’t seen a single cop on this island since I’ve been here!

Bad Place

If you have an older rig they will not let you stay. Cops on Carolina Beach are very rude and act like Barney Fifes. Summer carnival is full of weirdos and drunks. People who live there are very rude and try to claim parts of beach. Have had bad experience everytime we go. Now we go south to Sunset Beach.
