Bryson City Sites

We stayed 2 nights recently. The hostess was very courteous. They take cash & no credit cards. We lucked up with a site backed up to the River. The sites are very tight & we didn’t even open our canopy or it would probably have touched the slide in the one next to us. A 6’ rule apparently was not in order as the neighbor’s boxers were at our doorstep when we came out our door. We were not told it was a 50 amp, but happened to have the 50 to 30 adapter. There are many full timers here, but it was fine since we were out most of the day & could sit by the River in shade most all day. We didn’t use any other of their facilities. No TV reception. Somewhat dusty roads, but this is also in a flood plain & they have been flooded in past years. Fortunately, the River was low this time & no anticipation of rain to cause a flood. We would stay again if we could get a site on the River like this time. Other sites are backed up to a busy highway in the summer with all the tourists.

Nice & Quiet

I do construction and have been staying here for over a year. The area is quiet and safe. The area is relatively empty during winter but summer brings all of the regulars (very nice people) back. Monthly rates for a spot is $250.
