Awesome View
Very nice campground. Employees were extremely helpful and professional. Campground is clean with lots of area to take a nice hike. The common area to view the sunset is awesome
Road to the campground does need work and there are a few branches within campground that needs trimming. We are in 40 ft motorhome with toad.

Nice Hideaway 15 Minutes From Downtown
Asheville is only about 15 minutes away. Not far off the interstate and just a few miles up and an incline. Yes it’s a little potholey but it’s fine if you go slow. The view is spectacular. There are about 6 prime spots with a view but if you fail to get a spot, there is a nice sitting area to watch the sunset. When we were there over one came out of hiding and sat together to watch the sunset. It was a fun 15-20 minutes to gather and chat! There is a pond to fish within a short hilly walk, and a couple of other nature trails. We had to run to CVS one night and it was literally less than 3 miles away, so not far from things you need. Jason worked there while we were there and was so helpful and kind! We enjoyed every minute even though we failed to get a “view”. They whole area is beautiful. Plenty of wildlife. Amenities were 4 individual shower/sink/toilets. They also have a laundry site that worked well! Plenty of trash can available! Can’t wait to go back!

Solitude
This campground is wonderful, great level sites, private, quiet with management that checks on you frequently to ensure your happy and taken care of. We stayed in a deluxe site, 36ft fifth wheel. We already have plans to return. Highly recommend.

Wonderful campground on the side of the mountain. Large sites with full hook ups. Each with fire pits and level cement pads to park on for premium sites and deluxe sites have gravel. The view is absolutely unmatched! We will be back!

Stayed A Week.
Lucky to have reserved a site with overlook of the valley below. Clean and well kept. Staff very helpful and caring about making our stay comfortable. Restrooms are private suites with a sink, toilet and shower stall, albeit small. Camping rates on the higher side but worth it. Will come back.

Overnight
You have to travel back into the woods a little bit. up a an incline. With the 44 foot RV you have to schedule ahead of time. This is an off the road spot but people that know this site stay often and take the best sites. The Overlook to Asheville is amazing for RV’s if you are lucky enough to find one. I will stay here.
The tent sites well-maintained great fire pits.
Showers and toilets well-maintained. Small park but as great access and amenities.

We stopped in for an overnight while traveling home from Myrtle Beach. Nice size sites and easy access to all hookups. Everything was clean and beautiful sunset from the community fire ring.

Wonderful Stay
Setting is beautiful, facilities are clean, and the scenery of the valley, river, and distant mountains is awesome. Jason (park staff) is remarkable. Very helpful and willing to give you the shirt off his back - literally. When I could not locate a long sleeve shirt or lightweight jacket to purchase at multiple locations around weaverville, Jason offered to let me borrow a very nice (and warm) hoodie.
