Campground Packed Like Sardines
MI has by far the worst campground layouts. Most sites are just parking spaces crammed next to each other. Our site 93 was so unlevel, rutted, and electric box shared with neighbors, we needed an extension cord to reach. The flies were horrendous. Very few sites have a lake view. Water fill and dump, showers, many sites with electric (check amps when reserving). Must drive to get to most trails which have limited parking (except lake of the clouds). Pretty park, mediocre campground. Will not return for camping.

Beautiful But Busy
Lots of spots and very clean. Great access to view the lake. Went weekend after Labor Day and was surprised to see how busy it was. All spots were filled. All spots had electric hook ups. Close to Lake of the Clouds.

Beautiful Location
The best part of this campground is the location. Beautiful views, sunsets and its closeness to Lake of the Clouds. Typical state campground amenities.

Happy Camper
I traveled from Illinois to camp and visit local attractions for Father’s Day weekend. Our campsite was on Lake Superior. We had plenty of room for 3 tents and an awning over our picnic table. The showers were very clean and they featured endless hot water. The bathrooms were equally as clean and seemed to be well maintained. My son is 12 years old and found plenty to do at the campground. There is a shed next to the host camper that is full of games, books, and things like balls and frisbees. The campground is less than a mile or so from places to get fire wood and ice. It is about 15 miles from a regular size town where you can gas up and grab a bite to eat. The staff were very accommodating and a joy to be around.
