An Embarrassment To KY Parks

Came here from Barren River Lake campground, which was so nice and well-kept. This one was far less than we expected. We drove around to pick a site and left. Many were very un-level, unkempt. One had a weed at the site 9 feet tall. No kidding. Pavement to one was broken up and to precarious to enter. Had to back out. We scratched that one off our list. It was a rare campground for Kentucky!

OK But Not Great

We had site 16 (marked 15 on the map). Actually one of the nicer sites. Was fine for our trailer but electricity was far away. Seems the water and electricity connections are randomly placed in this campground. Beware a lot of the loops have warnings about taking large RVS down them. Some are true, others not. Many sites are very small but there are some nice ones. We camped in the fall and was very pretty and quiet. Would not camp here during boating season.

Close To dock

The sites are really not level and very small. Bathrooms are pretty dirty. Best part was the free shuttle to the dock!
