Love This Place
Departed here Oct 3, while we are from Michigan, usually come twice annually, this year three times. Already have a reservation for 2025.
Lots of history, Civil War and Trail of Tears. Well maintained campground and park, have no comment regarding bath house, don’t use it. Roads are wide, sites are long, most have a manageable slope. Convenience store / cafe up the road, amazing the selections available. Very nice pizza they make fresh.
Sites are large, we always choose full hook up, 50amp. All FHU sites have a view of the Mississippi River. Friendly Host

Nice Park
Clean and well kept up, but in the middle of nowhere. Verizon barely has one to two bars in a 10 mile radius, forget about the internet (it would be a good time to ween the kids off internet gaming, and enjoy the outdoors) The downside is you can't search for restaurants and attractions without driving 10-15 miles to get a cell signal strong enough. Interesting museum in the park, Wickliffe Mounds is interesting to see also, about 15 miles away. Good little breakfast place about 12 miles away in Barden. The park snack bar has a fair menu along with ice cream.

Make Time To Stop In!
This is a little known gem of a campground! We stumbled across it on our way to Illinois and we ended up extending our stay there an extra week. The CG host, Dana, is amazing! There are 38 spots, some back up with a view of the Mississippi. Loads of Civil War history. The entire park is immaculate! Firewood and ice are available. All sights have 30 amp and water I believe there were a few with full hookups. There is a dump station, bathrooms and showers. Bath house is temp controlled. There is a playground, laundry and church service on Sunday mornings in the conference room. I can't say enough good things about this adorable CG! Oh! Local tip, stop in at Beards and Roses for homemade cinnamon rolls!

Columbus Belmont State Park -KY
We stayed at Columbus-Belmont State Park in Kentucky over the Labor day weekend. I want to let everyone know, although it was a small park. Campground has 38 spots. 30 & 50 Amp, water and sewer is available. It was a very nice park with a lot of Kentucky Civil War history.
It is right by the Mississippi River out in the Middle of no where. Very little cell service and don't pay for the wifi, we did and it was only good for email and text messages.
The park is very clean and well maintained. It does have a grill/snack bar with good food reasonable prices. If you decide to not cook your own or want a quick snack.
The CG Host Cindy, was very helpful, she came around at least once a day to ensure all was well and we were enjoying ourselves. She would deliver firewood (15 pieces for $5) and 8lb bags of ice for $1.50 There was a CG dog name Rocky that was very cute and took to me right away. He came by and visited with me all through the day. CG spot has plenty of room for my A-Frame.

Hidden Jewel...
Rural drive into park a bit narrow. Arriving at night in rain could be tricky.
Well worth the effort...!
Campground is beautiful, well maintained, amenities are ample and clean.
Views in outside circle of sites, amazing. Sites are paved and picnic table areas rocked...very large, flat and easy to park any sized rig.
Very quiet, everyone helpful and courteous.
Very nice museum (house in photos) and lots of history packed in this park.
Will be returning soon...!
