Worst So Far
We have been camping for 6 yrs. We like staying in parks for the most part. But this year, this park (Markham Broward County Park) is in the worst condition we’ve ever stayed in. We’ve stayed here several times in the past and it was very nice. First, when we booked it, they assigned us a site. We didn’t get to pick. Then when we get here, the grass (I kid you not) is 2 feet tall. The parking spot is over grown so there’s no “don’t park in the grass” option. Ant hills to watch out for. So don’t go out at night without a flashlight to see where you’re stepping. I can’t recommend this park at all.

Once Was A Good Park
Grass and lot space not maintained, trees are extremely low and not trim. People (not register campers) constantly driving around camp site , not safe for kids. Campers using trash containers to dump construction materials. Cars blocking spaces and loops, making sometimes parking rv uncomfortable. Park rangers and administration should really pay more attention and enforce rules and regulations. Really sad.

Nice, But Some Oddities
My crew: husband, wife and 3-year-old son in a campervan. We stopped at this park returning from South Florida.
Campsites: strange setup... there are several loops right off the main road, each with 6 or so sites. Some grass, some gravel, some concrete. When we were here, it was very quiet at night once the shooting range closed.
Bathhouse: unless you are staying in a loop near the bathhouse you have to walk a ways on the main road to get there. Average park bathhouse, but you need a code to get in. The keypad on the women's was broken, so my husband had to stand guard at the door so I could go in.
Other notes:
-there was a nice pond across the road from our loop
-not far from interstate
-we couldn't check in because no one was there and no one answered the phone. Glad we got there before the front gate locked

Great park, open spaces, well organized, fairly clean. Could use a tree and palm pruning. Grass is nicely cut and all sites are very level. Pull-through are a little short but my 44' 5th wheel fit ok. Close to everything.
Can get noisy from party campers, day shelters (weekend), boaters, and the gun range. Would definitely stay here again.

Great county park. Clean, close to everything and a great place to ride your bike.

Big Big Parklands
Register at the office then drive around to your circle where the sites are mostly on grass but fairly flat. Plenty of walking areas and activities in the park. 3 services and reasonably clean facilities though the grounds are not maintained as well as other county parks, needs camp hosts to check perhaps or staff with pride in their work.
