Great Place
We stayed here for five nights. It is a very nice campground. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms are clean. The sites are nice and feel private. There are hiking trails that are well maintained. Can't say enough good about this place.

One Of The Best
We last visited here around 50 years ago when I was a student at FSU. It has improved tremendously from the primitive sites back then and the campground is now huge. We were able to walk to the Gulf beach and also the beach facing the Florida coast to the north. (See photo) Very proud of our home state!

Saw one rat the whole 5 days I was there. Fabulous mom and pop restaurants not far away. No fast food restaurants. The forgotten coast.

Our fave!
We stayed here for two nights in Jan, 2022 in a Class C 30’ motorhome. What a surprise! Beautiful layout, clean bathhouses (2), short walk to a white sand beach to seems to go on forever. Quiet and dark sky. Nicest place we stayed after over 30 RV parks. Watch out for the gator LOL

Stayed Here Twice, Love It!!
Where else can you walk on 9 miles of wide sugar sand beach without a condo or beach house in sight? Very uncrowded in January, you can have your own private beach.

Love This Place But.....
We have camped here a few times and love it. However the rats are out of control. One chewed a hole in my propane hose. I think I will bring a bunch of stray cats next time. They will eat well.

RV On The Road
Small RV spaces with many field mouse around the camp site. Can not see the beach from any of the campsite, due to large sand dunes protecting the campsite from storm surges. Long hick to beach, but sand is white with sea weed.

Great Place, But Full Of Rats.
Beach is fantastic, camp ground is old and bath houses, typical for Fl State parks. But there are rats everywhere, in broad daylight. They are not scared of anything. Dont leave nothing out, tent campers be warned!

Hidden Gem
We stayed 4 nights on the RV Park and it was worth the 6 hrs trip. Amazing white sand beaches and warm gulf waters. We stayed sept 09,2020 and this week was a blessed one with beautiful sunshine, great breeze and some overcast days making a perfect stay. Rangers are very friendly and informative, campsite are very well maintain and the restroom are impeccable.. showers as well. They have recycling for can and gas bottles. You can buy ice bags as well as firewood. Campers were very friendly maintaining social distancing since covid alert. We hope we can make it back next year.

Very Pretty
The beaches themselfs are very beautiful. Quiet and secluded sites in the loop. Its been a wet summer and water was standing everywhere, so you get plenty of mosquitoes. The loop get sprayed twice weekly which certainly helps. Still bring you skeeter spray. The piggly express is the better store in town and prices are fair, including the gas prices. Otherwise you gotta go back over the bridge to Eastport. Stayed Laborday 2018

Great Natural Beauty
Isolated, sugar sand, good sized sites, well kept campground. Spent 3 nights, great time. Mosquitoes weren't bad, some sand fleas.

Family Camping Spring Break
Awesome beach vacation for a nature loving family. Quiet and away from the commercialized beach fronts. Kid friendly.

Very nice site. Very kid friendly/safe. Most sites are gravel, but level.
We will return.

I hesitate to rate this campground a 4 but the campground is adequate but not large. Most sites fairly close together and level but there is adequate space, only few have concrete pads. What is exceptional is the State Park. It is not for folks that desire amenities, shopping, nightlife and entertainment, you will not be happy here. St George is for people to appreciate the quietness of the ocean and nature. Simply amazing special place with adequate camping facilities tucked off the beaten path. It is well patrolled by State law officiers to keep rift raft away and they are dedicated to protection and preservation of the fragile environment.
