The camp ground is nestled in a valley between two 14,000 ft mountains. There's a creek running right by the campground and my kids loved exploring around it and playing in the water. Sites offered plenty of room without being on top of each other. The water pumps didn't work in the campground but the camp 1 minute up the road did work.

Exceptionally clean sites and restrooms. Very quiet, even with a paved road next to it. Chalk Creek runs next to the campground and is very pretty. Huge mountains rise up all around you! Hot springs close. St. Elmo "ghost" town near by. No dump or electric. $22 a night or $11 with National Parks Pass. July 2018
