Clean
This campground is now a KOA. There is only one set of bathrooms, and they're far away from the primitive and electric only sites - the campers most likely to need them. It's a quiet spot and the electric only sites are nice and flat. It's a little pricey for electric only, but typically priced for a KOA.

So Nice we stayed twice
We stopped here on our way to Durango, and on our way back. Friendly staff and clean showers are a plus. Loved watching the hummingbirds.

We dropped in to see if they had an open spot for the weekend. We were scheduled at another campground that turned out to be horrible. They were great in getting us in. The camp ground is nice and clean. Bathrooms are well taken care of. I do wish they had more trees for shade but the views are still pretty. The people are nice and we would definitely stay here again.

The front desk last was as nice and accommodating as can be. The park is clean and well-being kept. However, like a lot of RV parks in this part of the country, it is a dust bowl. Terraced RV sites with little shade. When we were there, the daytime winds were about 25mph sustained, which made it miserable to be outside. After two nights, we moved to another RV Park with some trees to break the wind and offer some shade.

First I have to say that Randy and Michelle manage the park and are very friendly and are excellent host . They don't charge extra for hotv showers. The view was nice and the town of Salida is just a few miles away and there's a Winery almost across the road. The wifi worked fine and the other campers were all friendly as can be. The park is pet friendly with no issues. I stayed for 5 days and had a great time with the host and the festival in town. Very reasonable prices. Yes, I will stay there again next time I come to Colorado.
