Catastrophe
What an absolute debacle. Road was so muddy and soupy we were fishtailing with our fifth wheel. Mud completely covered the front of the camper. Multiple times we thought we would be stuck. It did appear they had just graded the roads and they had just gotten some rain but still. BE WEARY!!!

3 Day Rest On A Long Trip
Found this great place to unwind for free. No one a round but us. Lots of room for our 38 ft motor home and truck. Level sites, the out house was clean but no T paper LOL. Easy in and out on good dirt roads. Shelters and picnic tables at sites. Too bad the lake is dry. I give it 4.5 stars

Free, Peaceful
We drove into Flagler Wildlife Park around 11pm, very dark. We had no problem following the road, found a flat spot, popped up the camper and tucked in for a quiet night. The kids, dog and I hiked around after breakfast, saw deer, horny lizard, and only one other camper. I assume kids party out here some, but this Tuesday night was quiet. Fri/Sat might have local teens. Obviously no fees. We were pleased. 4 of 5 stars due to no water in the pond.

Flagler State Wildlife Area , Co
Boondocking on free public land. Off the beaten track, but worth finding this little treasure. Quiet and peaceful setting on site of old lake ( no longer has water) and campground. Driving 36 ft motorhome with toad, was able to get in and turnaround ok. Exit 395 @ Flagler. Head East on county road U. 1st turn in has picnic area ( not maintained, lots of ants) and vault toilets ( didn't check those out). Has space available here but, We went past this and went to next turn in on right, old blacktop/ gravel road opens up to nice flat pad overlooking old reservoir. 2 non maintained picnic areas ( didn't use those either as they needed paint and were ant ridden). Beautiful sunrise with 8 deer outside. Would definitely stay overnight here again on our way through as I 70 is just minutes away.
