We Loved Climbing Here!
This spot is definitely worth the upgraded spot prices if you enjoy hiking! You can climb straight into the rocks from about half of the upgraded spots. We had site 62 and it had plenty of space and an easy hike into the rocks. We were here 3 days and managed to climb almost every peak in the area with our dog, 3.5yr old and 5yr old, but there were definitely some challenging spots. If your pup is a sticker magnet be careful! We didn't use any of the facilities or wifi, but our t-mobile service was great. Watson Park has a playground, disc golf course and I think you can rent a kayak for 20/hr although the lake was quite green and smelled while we were there. We added an extra night, but wished we could have stayed longer with nature's playground right at your campsite!
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for your review Nikki! The climbing here is great and 62 is definitely a popular campsite being backed by the rocks. We're so glad you enjoy staying here. Don't forget we're open all year and the snow here is beautiful!

Nice Quiet Campground
We stayed here in September and the weather was awesome. Low 90’s with clear skies. We took the dogs on the short hike to the lake and got some great pictures. The sites are fairly level and there are lots of friendly people walking their dogs around the campground. Restrooms and showers were nice. They are doing non-contact reservations, arrivals, and departures which were seamless. About 10 minute drive from the historic Downtown and Whiskey Row. Overall, a nice campground that we would visit again.
Reply from owner/manager: Hi Roger! Thank you for leaving us a review! September is certainly a great time of year here. If you haven't already, you should see Whiskey Row when it's all lit up in December!

Love This Place!!
This was my first RV experience and I couldn't have found a better place! The sites were very spacious and aren't right on top of each other. Staff was so nice and helpful and contactless check in was quick and easy. Watson Lake is an easy walk (1/2 mile) where you can hike, kayak or just sit and relax. Large, grassy park only 1/4 mile away. Quiet policy after 10 but it was nice and quiet earlier than that. Did hear a bit of noise from the nearby road in the morning but had my windows open and it was minimal.
Love this place and so excited to return! Highly recommend!
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for your review! We're glad you had a pleasant first RV experience and that it was here at our park! Luckily we're open year round so you can come back and visit us anytime!

Great Place!!
We found this place a couple of years ago. Have been back 2 times and heading back for 3rd in a week. We love it. Love all the rocks and walking paths at the far end. Bathrooms are good as well as the laundry. A little pricey, but its Prescott. Walk to the lake, it beautiful with all the rocks around it. People are friendly, park is quiet. I highly recommend it.
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for the great review Lynn! The Granite Dells are really something. Can't wait to have you back! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the array of onsite watercraft/biking rentals next time!

$50
Daily rate of $50 includes taxes, the reason for the low rating. They do NOT have discounts. WAY TO MUCH!!!
Reply from owner/manager: Hi John. I think we're comparable to other RV parks in the area. Our pricing also reflects our convenient location from downtown Prescott as well as being so close to Watson and Willow Lake. Happy and safe travels!

Not Bad
There are plusses and minuses to this campground. On the plus side are:
1. Convenient location for Prescott and the National Forest.
2. Clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water.
3. Good wifi.
4. Sites with shade and some separation.
On the minus side:
1. Sites and roads are unpaved therefore dusty.
2. Close to road and shooting range therefore noisy at times.
On the whole an ok place, but not 5 stars.
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for the review Walter. I'm glad you found our campground enjoyable. We're just a short walk down to Watson Lake where there is enjoyment for all such as kayaking, fishing, and hiking! Safe travels!

Just stayed one night. Very quiet and rocks are beautiful. Staff was nice. Bathroom was clean. My only complaint was the shower head was short, 5’ tall:(
Overall great campground. Will be back.

The best campground. Lots of privacy and room . Free DVDs. Very nice laundry for only $1. Showers were very nice. Price was way less than Flagstaff. Will be back.

Great Location Nice Place
Campground is very nice, we enjoyed the hiking trails going to the lake. The restrooms were clean , nice having the laundry room. Nice having free DVDs rentals.
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for leaving us a review. The 10 minute walk from the campground to Watson lake is great for people wanting to visit the lake and get a little exercise in as well as the abundance of trails behind the campground that venture out into the Dells!

Highly Recommended
Clean grounds and restrooms, family-owned, friendly staff. Good, relatively easy and short hiking trails with great views of Watson Lake right from the campground. Close to Prescott’s many features and a 45 minute drive to iconic Jerome. If the weather is warm bring a kayak or canoe. Watson Lake looks like a great spot to paddle...lots of nooks and crannies to explore.
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for the review Mark. Watson Lake is especially cool during the winter with the snow resting on the rocks! Hope you stay with us again!

Wow
One of the best parks yet. Quiet, clean, staff is super accommodating and the park is right next to amazing trails and rocks. Also the washer dryers are super fast and $1 per load. Would stay here again no question.
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you for the review. Our campground is open year round and has an abundance of amenities for your convenience. Hope to see you again!

Fantastic Place
The family owned staff were very friendly, the grounds were neat and clean, bathrooms and showers were nice and the spaces had a bit of privacy and roomy enough for my 37 foot class A with a slide out on each side. They have complimentary DVD’s and great hiking!!!!! We also hiked to nearby Walker Lake.... their was a bobcat citing at the lake so keep your eyes open for wildlife, especially with small animals.... would definitely stay again!!
Billie
Reply from owner/manager: Thanks Billie for the review! Watson Lake is definitely a must see being that it's so close to the campground. There's also Willow Lake on the other side of the highway with equally impressive views. Safe travels, come visit us again!

Great Place To Stay
Really friendly staff and a scenic place w all of the boulders. At least 10 degrees cooler than phoenix, so a great place during summer.
Clean restrooms and we had a shady spot... rally nice stay!
Reply from owner/manager: It sounds like you had an amazing time, Matt. We are super busy during the summer months, so make sure you make reservations as early as possible to get a great spot. We start taking reservations on January 2nd for each calendar year, and the campground will start to fill up early. See you again soon!

Awesome location, friendly staff, and the sites look great. Park right next to the granite dells and go exploring from there. Close walk to a great park, and awesome set of trails right off the RV park.

Very Friendly Very Clean
This was our very first experience camping. I found them to be very friendly from booking through the phone and arriving at the RV park. Their restrooms and showers were very clean. Clean enough that I chose to use them instead of ours. Very quite park and friendly campers. Love the trails right at the park. Loved the shaded spot we had for our trailer. Lots of trees to help protect and keep your home cool. Defiantly will return!
Reply from owner/manager: Thank you, Michelle. It's awesome that you had a great first experience camping and it was at Point of Rocks! Our staff is super friendly and always tries to make sure we are providing first class service. Our location in the Granite Dells is pretty unique and we're a great launching spot for all your outdoor adventures. Next time you should take some kayaks on Watson Lake; bring your own, or rent some. Hope to see you again!

Staying here for 4 nights and exploring the area. Nice sized sites, some even back up to the rocks! Only a few pull throughs. Facilities are well maintained and clean! Would recommend this to anyone, especially some one who likes to hike! Short walk to Lake Watson and countless trails around the park!
