Weary Traveler

The River Side Park in Douglas was a very nice place for a weary traveler to spend the night. Right on the River, the park I was very well kept and was also free. Can’t beat that for a one night stop over!

Great Stop over

This is a great little park right on the river. It's very clean with a beautiful grassy area with picnic tables and grills. There is a lovely walking path down by the river. The ladies room was very clean. It is a U-shaped Park where you just pull in and pull over wherever you can fit. Thank you to the city of Douglas.

This was a beautiful FREE ? we found. Clean hot shower, picknic tables, grills, dump station, clean water, everything weary travelers from Kentucky needed.

Convenient Little Place To Stay

Free dry camping. Showers (didn't investigate) water fill and dump. U shaped loop people just park along edges. Tent campers be aware of the lawn sprinklers! Clean and well kept park. Appreciate the free overnight.

We stayed one night in September on our way to Yellowstone. Very nice spot on the Platte River. Showers dump station. Grass spots for tents , FREE!

Great spot to spend a night while traveling through. Gravel parking areas (so it's a bit dusty) with lots of grass and picnic tables. There is a bike path on the opposite side of the river that is a delight for an easy ride. Can't beat the price...

Teardrop Camper

Just a quick stop for the night on our way home. Thank you WY for a cute place to park our camper, take a quick hot shower, brush our teeth and get a good night's sleep.
